Re: Zenyatta News

Very handsome head shot. You can tell by her flared nostrils and distinct veining that this was taken right after a race. she's awfully clean though unless this was after a synth race, i dont recall synch kickback being is... "dirty", i guess? as an aside when you mentioned the veins i looked at th...

Re: Arthur Hancock blisters the horseracing biz

the only reason i cant get so excited as to vomit rainbows about the government "fixing" horse racing... have any of these guys in suits so much as walked into a barn, let alone taken the time to understand how horses and the sport itself works? i'm curious as to how much they could actually do to h...

Re: Early Oaks Favourites

I guess you won't be proven wrong with that opinion. Pretty funny coming from the Redboard king. And it's November . Lest we forget dustino's opinions were cogently stated, which is more than I've come to expect from threads like this. It's ridiculous to predict an event that far out - injuries, th...

i also was in town during breeding season (not as they tapered off or anything), so that may have been it, it was right around derby week.

Re: farm tours question

What about Darby Dan? I'm assuming they don't do tours :?: I don't know if they do tours, per se, but I think you could probably call and ask to see the stallions. Specify if you aren't a breeder. i begged to go to see shack, and as told the only way to see him is if i do the bluegrass tour group t...

Re: Ramseys lose appeal to have claim voided...

i dont actually know anything about how claims work, so i have a few questions; --when claiming a horse, where does the money go? i claim a horse for $10k, who gets the money? --if the track gets it, would they have to refund the money? --if ken got the money, why not just do a "private sale" and bu...

Re: Red Smith Handicap (Grade III) - 11/16/13

the thing is, thinair sees some opinion different than his? he attacks, or at least he comes off as very gruff and condescending. you can debate while keeping it civil. being a big shot in racing doesnt exempt him from the 'act civil' rule. credit to SenL for keeping a level head, but thinair's tone...

Re: Red Smith Handicap (Grade III) - 11/16/13

I really don't care who Thinair is. I respond to what he posts. If he thinks his stature allows him to not be placed in check, then he has another think coming. I don't really care about spelling all that much either. Thinair you've been wrong in a big way about most of the major horses we've seen ...

Re: What animal personality are you?

INFP; Meerkat

INFPs are deeply ethical and idealistic, loyal to their family and closest friends, and guided by their desire to live a life according to their values. They are curious about those around them, but will not accept threats to the security of their adorable babies or their morals

Re: Honor Code

Honor Code is an interesting colt with a bright future, hopefully. I, for one, would enjoy it if the discussion in this thread could remain centered on him. It's a long way off but he does look very good. It'd be nice to see an AP Indy win the Derby. hard to believe in all he's done, he hasn't mana...

ender's game nailed it. they had to drop a lot because hey, no one wants a 5 hour movie except me i guess, but i was thrilled with it. And me, and the buddy with whom I saw it. :D I do think an extra half an hour to provide for character development would not have been too much. i'll concede that, ...

Re: 3 Year old Male

O'Neill is considering running Goldencents in the Cigar Mile. What if he wins? if they both race again and both win, either or (even now its close but i'm leaning towards wtc because his against-olders is a really really big deal of a race). if they both race again and one doesnt win, regardless of...

Re: 3 Year old Male

I would agree with WTC if he had won the BCC. As it is, I will go with Orb who IMO won the "other" big race. Orb's resume includes a pretty impressive list of races this year. so, if the derby winner was automatically 3 yr old champ... why would we bother racing them the rest of the year? wtc came ...
