Re: 2020 Matings

I hope they'll send her to a PotN son. I am so sad we will never get a PotN x Beholder foal, as I recall the nick with PotN had a rather high rating... and now with Empire Maker also gone. American Pharoah? I hope they also try RtR again with him and they also do that with Stellar Wind. Rags to Ric...

Re: Dubai World Cup canceled

There is an article on Paulick that says the US horses returned from Dubai on Thursday the 26th. But the only horse they talk about is Shotski, I would assume the rest that have "Expedited Rush Fee Received and in progress" are also back.

Re: Racing resume question

Looking at winners only since 1980 and I'm loathe to use the younger winners who don't have many crops of racing age and not sure if you are looking at like elite level stallions like the very best of the best but: Belmont winners has included: A.P. Indy and Empire Maker. A little below that: Conqui...

Re: Santa Anita to close ...

I can drive over to Oaklawn and hang out by the back fence and watch the horses run. I see no problem with a stable environment of same backside workers and jockeys, asst. starters, etc. since most racing takes place outside and they can surely follow CDC guidelines. Not changing environments and j...

Re: Worth watching these again

So here's a question, who was MC Hammer's Derby horse? I know his venture into thoroughbred racing is remembered most by a favorite of mine, Lite Light. But he had a Derby horse too and his name is escaping me. Technology jumped into my head but I know that isn't right. Media Plan was on the Derby ...

Re: Go for Wand

So like I wonder if that Marc guy is making fake stuff to sell. Because he sold, Barbaro's Preakness Stall webbing last year. And the letter says, the Marc guy said he acquired it from a groom at the Matz barn. https://sports.ha.com/itm/2006-barbaro-preakness-stakes-webbing-and-fred-stone-original-p...

Re: Worth watching these again

For those looking for a horse racing fix, check out this Youtube channel: https://www.youtube.com/user/Partymanners2/videos Lots of great races, lots of horses I forgot about. Some are full broadcasts which are pretty neat to watch. What I like is that a lot of the races don't say who won, so its li...

Re: Mandatory DNR in American covid19 patients..ethics violation yes or no?

No its not an ethics violation like I already said to you in the other thread. They are being realistic. As wrong as it seems, its for the right reasons if they go through with it. They will only have to do it if the severe side of the virus decimates the population in that area. This is the real li...

Re: Gulfstream threatens legal action if forced to shut down racing

Heck hospitals in various states HERE are starting to talk about creating mandatory DNRs in patients diagnosed with covid19 regardless of what the patients ACTUAL advance directives or family wishes are...and this will apply to people of ALL ages...it's a huge ethics violation if you ask me Yeah li...

Re: Gulfstream threatens legal action if forced to shut down racing

One only needs to look at the heartbreaking stories coming out of Italy to see that. Italy? The stories coming out of hospitals in the U.S. are heartbreaking. Doctors, EMS, nurses, and other health care workers are pleading for PPE, some are getting sick and ending up on ventilators. Some die. They...

Seems theres no website for La Mission farm?
A lot of the South American farms don't have their own webpages but they have something similar to the Bloodhorse stallion register if they are signed up for it.

Hoping this isn't the last we see of racing for awhile. Charles Town is in total lockdown now, no racing, horses staying in their stalls. How long do our remaining racing states hold out? Well Javier Castellano tested positive for coronavirus but he didn't have any symptoms and while he is based out...

Will this nice card make it onto some TV coverage? Like maybe FS1 or NBCSN?
Supposedly NBCSN is carrying TVG's programming for the race.

Re: Gulfstream threatens legal action if forced to shut down racing

Wait..I could've sworn the name read "Creating."

Also, @ Baroque, don't look at the quarter horse stud register anytime soon LOL.
Creating is the 2018 filly from the same cross. I saw them both when looking to see if her foals had been named earlier.
