Re: Imperative

I mean someone said on Twitter he is going to Old Friends in November, just now right now. Was his retirement ever even mentioned? I mean I saw a twitter post from Old Friends saying he was going there but it didn't say when.

Imperative has been un-retired...making me wonder why???
I never saw anywhere that said he was retired besides that vague, not really sure what it meant, post by Old Friends.

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Fort McHenry (Tapit/Love the Chase), a 1/2 brother to California Chrome, and Market Impact (Carpe Diem/Caressing), a 1/2 brother to West Coast, debut in Race 1 at SAR on Saturday. Edit: they're both entered MTO Absolutely shocking to me that Chad Brown of all people entered a MTO horse. Based on th...

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

Those are a couple of blue-blooded boys there, and the grey definitely looks like a Tapit. 8-) Are they two-year-olds, or older? Thanks for the cool photo. Ramses Barrows is 4 and Foggy Night is 5. Looks like Foggy Night has soundness issues though, as he has raced since he was 2 but only has made ...

@ Spendthrift Australia Now this is interesting! A USA-conceived, Aussie-foaled filly by Into Mischief out of MGSP Flashy Gray (Flashy Bull). I assume they intend to breed Flashy Gray to a stallion down under. Wonder who? https://breednet.blob.core.windows.net/breednet/gallery/2019-foal-gallery/201...

Judging by PQ it looks like Justwhistledixie has only produced boys so far. Did she have a filly and it passed away? She has no foals registered on there for 2014 or 15.
She had an Arrogate filly this year.

1994 BC Juvenile Fillies and 2016 BC Distaff had really good finishes, standout efforts from all involved. Another that sticks out to me is Kitten's Joy's BC Turf, I really think he would have won.

Re: The Saudi cup

The well known jockeys publicly stating that the track and footing is perfect in every way made me lol. Because if anyone will tolerate a dissenting opinion, it's the royal family of Saudi Arabia. Baffert said its to deep a track for a horse to run in the Saudi Cup and then make it to the Dubai WC ...

Hasn't had a foal since 2016 and hasn't been bred since. Is she still alive? There is nothing on the Jockey Club and she hasn't been exported.

Re: American Pharoah's Children

The following mares are ones that were announced or reported as in AP's first book, or in foal to him for 2017 delivery, but except for the few noted I haven't found any resolution. It's possible these are simply cases where the mare didn't get pregnant, or was booked to AP but ended up going to an...

Adirondack winner, Perfect Alibi, comes from a long list of good female names that all tie together, going back to her 3rd dam, Missed The Wedding.

While things can change very quickly with first crop sires, I would have to think Lane's End is starting to get a bit concerned that none of their first year sires who all had a good group of mares behind them have been showing out as of yet. And while Khozan has been getting rightful buzz for his ...

Yes, I know that was why he was so pink. But I still don't like it. He looks perfectly fine in the top picture and other pictures I saw of him. It was just kind of shocking to see just how pink white thoroughbreds get. I guess I've never really followed a white thoroughbred.

Re: Stallion News

I'm sure if they feel he isn't well enough to do the return trip that he wont. They'll give him the time he needs but in all honesty they could give him almost 6 months to heal before returning if need be and still be able to make the NH season.

Hayayakko (JPN), 2016C. King Kamehameha(JPN) x Marshmallow(JPN) by Kurofune(USA), made history as he won the G3 Leopard Stakes 1800m dirt for 3yos at Niigata on August 4th 2019. Re: The Million Dollar G1 Whitney Stakes

He did awful at Oaklawn last year when he shipped in for stakes races. That wasn't McKinzie, it was Solomini. McKinzie has been close in most of his races this year. He almost won the Santa Anita H. and showed last year he can win at 9f. Do I think he should be the favorite to win the BCC? Probably...
