Mondays at Saratoga?
Did I miss something, I didn't realize Saratoga didn't race on Mondays this year. Does anyone know why they decided not to race on Mondays? Not that I'm complaining, just wondering if maybe they didn't have enough horses to fill the cards. Thanks.

Let It Ride
I don't know if any of you remember the movie Let It Ride with Richard Dreyfuss. I live in upstate New York and this movie is on WBPN Channel 14 at 8 p.m. (Binghamton Channel). I haven't seen this movie in years but it is so funny. Hope some of you get a chance to watch it.

Re: Favorite race videos
Thank you, Broad Brush's 1986 Pennsylvania Derby, he got the lead and then bolted at the top of the stretch, he was 10 lengths back with 1/4 mile to go but still won the race by 1-1/4 lengths. I don't know how to get a clip of the race but it's on YouTube and I watch it once in a while. I did love B...

Holy Bull in the 1994 Travers, I was there that day and everyone was on their feet, it was an exciting race. And Tom Durkin saying "there's cause for concern". Didn't Concern win the Breeder's Cup Classic later on that year?

I have a Chihuahua-MiniPin named Freckles. She is mouthy but is a pretty good dog now that she's older. She was a monster when I first got her. Sheds alot for a dog that doesn't have much hair, but she's my girl!

Re: Best Rivalries in Horse Racing
Since the discussion does not seem to be the best rivalries anymore but more like the best races ever seen - I must say it has to be the 1994 Travers with Holy Bull and Concern. I loved it when Tom Durkin called out "and there's cause for concern", even watching replays I still feel the excitement o...

Re: Sword Dancer Invitational Stakes (Grade 1) - 08/17/14
Main Sequence ran a heck of a race, started off slow, spotted the field a couple of lengths and ran the last quarter like a freight train. Graham does a wonderful job with his horses, the Mig was really good on the telecast I like him a lot and for once the jockey spoke English. If Hines wins the ne...

Re: Victor choked!
I thought Victor rode the race fine, if Pat wait all Day was on him he would have had the same result. The horse was tired after a long campaign and possibly didn't feel all that great after being stepped on coming out of the gate.

Re: Strongest/ Weakest Derby Fields?
Oh well, maybe Sea Hero wasn't all that good but his trainer Mack Miller was outstanding so you kind of had to play any horse he had running (trainer angle handicapping).

Sea Hero won the Travers that year, so he wasn't quite a bum.

Re: "I Like a Horse..."
I like Oil Strike (#8) in the 5th race at Keeneland, first time starter but what the heck and Oxley is a good owner, I played a $10 DD with Graham Motions' horse in the 6th (#1 Strong Stipulation). In the 10th race I played a $2 Tribox on 1-8-10. I also played a $10 DD with Bobby's Kitten in the Bl...

I hope Xtra Heat gets it, that was one fast horse.
