I am very interested in seeing how No Parole does in this big step-up in class.
Agreed. He looks like he could be something special. Even in his LA-bred races, he moves like a really nice horse.

Re: Foals of 2020

Mares can have foals naturally after having a c section prior. The risks are slightly higher, but not overly so, assuming she recovers well. I wouldn't breed her this year, but if she were mine and recovered really well, I'd breed her again in the future. Now we don't know exactly what happened tha...

Is there absolutely any way that any owner who had a horse with any of these folks had no idea?

Re: FBI raid at Calder

Excerpt from p21 of the indictment against Navarro mentions a horse "Nanoosh"... looked him up. Zayat-bred horse originally trained by Lukas. Went to Diodorno at some point in 2018 and had some nice races. Early 2019 was bought into by Rockingham Ranch and D Bernsen (of Stormy Liberal fame) and Zaya...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

I'm most interested to see how Coolmore handles this. Do they switch trainers, let him race another year at 5 and try to "prove" that he has talent without drugs, or what? Because how many breeders are really gonna be interested in Max now that this has come in? Because know there's the question of...

Re: Report: Zayat Sued for $23 Million, Sold Shares in American Pharoah

Take horses out. What Zayat basically did was buy a home with a loan. Then he took out another loan using the unpaid house as collateral and bought cars. Then sold some portion of the land his home is on and then sold a few rooms. Then he sold the cars off. Then he stopped paying his mortgage and th...

Re: Question about XY jet death

There's some argument about whether a necropsy was required for XY jet...would he have been required to have one? Even though he died in the shed row? I thought necropsy was required for all horses who died on track property even deaths not directly related to racing accident or injury I dont know ...

Re: Bramlage's Mongolian Groom report

As an avid racing fan for almost 3 decades, I can’t ever recall being given this much detail on any breakdown. Even Barbaro didn’t give us this level of “how it happened” and I think it goes a long way in the “Information Age” to give anyone access to this. I would love to see this level of transpar...

Example from 1 sales results...

Shackleford's 2017 fee was $15K.
At the KEE September Yearling Sale, 27 Shackleford yearlings went through the ring.

6 were RNA, 4 of those eclipsed the $15k mark
21 sold, only 9 of those for more than $15k
