Lancaster Bomber is moving to South Africa.
No. He is shuttling there for the Southern Hemisphere breeding season.
Arent the importing/exporting and quarantine regulations of horses in South Africa too strict to allow shuttling?

Re: Stallion News

It's nice that Adena sends their pensioners and less successful stallions to Old Friends to live out their days. Touch Gold, Alphabet Soup, now Einstein. They see out their careers of almost all of their stallions, with a handful going to regional markets like Indiana, Washington, California, etc. B...

In what world do Ghostzappers not run long and mature slow....? I kind of get your argument but he's a pretty terrible example. He's kind of the definition of being unpopular at the sales and having late bloomers. His top progeny are Shaman Ghost (broke his maiden March of his 3 y/o year, won Graded...

Godolphin's very talented and incredibly promising multiple group winning stayer Brundtland broke down in his 4 year old debut in the Nad Al Sheba Trophy at Meydan yesterday. This one stings. RIP.

Re: Stallion News

Breeding older proven producers to new sires used to be a thing. I remember hearing a phrase similar to, "Send proven mares to new stallions, and new mares to proven stallions" on here. I mean, I think it kind of used to be considered a good way to get a new stallion off to the right start. And LNJ...

First Mare In-Foal for Mill Ridge Farm's Oscar Performance Scanned on Wednesday, Feb. 27, the mare Gold Round is a half-sister to three-time Breeders' Cup Mile winner and champion Goldikova, and she is the dam of Golden Valentine, winner of the Group 3 Prix Minerve in France. Gold Round, a 22-year-...

I did not realize FHF had had it's hand on BOM and Rick Porter had named him.

Re: Battle of Midway

And here we almost had a positive story of a subfertile stallion returning to training and regaining his top form. RIP. Condolences to the connections. Has a horse ever successfully done this? I wonder how hormones play into it with bone density and stuff. This game is painful. Al Kazeem comes to m...

Recycled newspaper bedding, interesting. I wonder if that is standard in Japan. Most of the foal photos we get seem to be of mom and baby outside, never in the barn/foaling stall.

3 buzzers found in his home = 4 year ban  Not that I'm complaining, but Australia definitely doesn't mess around when it comes to investigations and bans. I'm kind of surprised that they were able to raid his home. Stables seems like one thing, but I don't think I've ever heard of a racing ju...

It's a cool venue, but jockey George Baker had his career ended, and almost died, two years ago after a nasty fall there. Kind of mixed emotions on it since then.

Is European Champion 3yo Sprinter even a category? No sprinter trained in Europe won more than one G1 in 2018... and I believe him and Sands of Mali were the only 3 year olds to win an open G1 sprint. Biiiiiiit of a stretch there in the marketing department. I would say that he was tough as hell bef...
