Honor A.P., a gorgeous son of Honor Code and Hollywood Story, broke his maiden by about 5 lengths - easy. He won on the lead, unlike his debut when he closed from 20 lengths out of it
Just watched the replay, what a hunk.

Not sure what the complaining is all about - Big Ass Fans makes very good fans, some of them 'big ass', maybe than get Lizzo to perform beforehand.

Paradise Woods won the Zenyatta (G2) for...John Shirreffs.
Wonder if she can string 2 together to go out in style.... must have been pretty special for John to win the race named after the big mare.

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Tank Commander (War Front x Treasure Trail) just broke his maiden at Churchill Downs in a very Zenyatta like fashion 😮. Treasure Trail is o/o Vertigineux and half to Balance, Zenyatta and Eblouissante. eta - he's full sibling to Long Island Sound which I didn't even realize when I added him to my v...

Midcourt (Midnight Lute x Mayo on the Side) broke his maiden at Santa Anita yesterday on his 4th try. 2 in a row for Midcourt , he won again yesterday at Del Mar 🙂. Re: Haskell Day

I thought running the stakes later was a good compromise. Living in South Florida I've never understood the need to start running at 12:30 in the summer when it's light til 8:00 anyway. Was very happy to see Maximum Security get another win, I don't see he did anything wrong, seemed to stay in his p...

Re: In Memoriam 2019

Tattoo Molly, by Cuvee was shipped to slaughter early this morning. I hope her death is quick. There was an effort to save her, which was unsuccessful. She was a pretty bay lady, with white socks. She was a sweet, willing girl who could have had a second career. Well, I can't believe it. But someho...

Re: Honestly Honey

Heritage Sale is a kill sale sadly I feel horribly naive, I had no idea there was a sale where farms openly dumped broodmares without a reserve knowing they would be at risk for slaughter. Kory Pierson was the top buyer at the sale, buying 16 horses, $500 each - 14 of them broodmares (in addition t...

Honestly Honey

In a search for her daughter, Late Nite Laura, was a little distressed to find her listed in thoroughbred sale at age 23. Looking further I found she, and numerous other horses sold for $500 to Kory Pierson in October last year at Heritage Sales. The only thing I find when searching Kory Pierson is ...

To celebrate Bodexpress' adventure today, let's all recall the greatest riderless horse race of the modern era: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UN2bG90Qxdc No no. That would be the horse who beat NATIVE DIVER in one of his Hollywood GCs. I am partial to Fort Larneds Gulfstream Park Handicap win in ...

I don't know why I'm surprised, looks like they are trying to make a point (any point to avoid having to limit field size?)

Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

While we are arguing all of this from now until 2063, I hope they do a scan of MS' right front sometime. Changing leads early could have been the sign of an ouch. Little ouches become bigger. Maximum Security Trainer Says Time Off May Be Needed After Kentucky Derby Am happy to hear they are going t...
