Re: PETA Is A Bully

Subterfuge. Does not change the fact the industry is toxic from within and no one has the balls to truly rut out the cancerous tumors that are everywhere. Blaming PETA or anyone else, for that matter, for stunning slow responses by the industry to remove the tumors is getting a bit long in the tooth.

Re: David Jacobson's plan to resume training

https://www.drf.com/news/jacobson-recovering-serious-illness-plans-resume-training I feel that if we as an industry are serious about protecting our horses and improving their welfare and lowering our breakdown rates then we as an industry should be working to PURGE from the industry...not be welco...

The buyer of D'Wildcat and Closing Argument is actually Gerald Averett Jr. (they have his name misspelled in the sales results on one of the stallions). He owns Averett Farm in Louisiana and stands stallions. They have a Facebook page. Those horses need all the prayers we can give them. Can you lin...

Re: Horse Racing Is Its Own Worst Enemy

Are they? I think people have a really negative opinion of racing without PETA's help. I don't see what they're doing to hurt racing so badly in social media at the moment FInding a horse dumped in the wrong part of a landfill isn't the absolute worst thing, unless you combine it with multiple (and...

Re: Tragedy hits Santa Anita again

You gotta stop enabling the problems of this sport and ragging on people who want it better. If you don't think anything will change or the public at large won't care, that's fine and not wrong. But people being sick of it isn't a bad thing. Agreed times 1000!. Enough of the public apparently does ...

Hollendorfer banned from Breeders Cup this year. Good riddance.
Because Hollendorfer is the only trainer to have had a horse breakdown this year (or ever)? Seemed more like a scapegoat to me.
This thing with Hollendorfer sure has been strange. But he looks like a scapegoat to me as well.

Wonder where Tizdejavu moved to. He's not on Crestwood's website anymore. EDIT: To the shock of literally no one, Revolutionary is off to South Korea. This is likely to be unpopular, but I have lost all respect for Winstar. he doesn't have a report of mares bred for 2019. i wonder if he moved befor...

Re: Article in New York Times states Justify failed a drug test before the Derby

It's the New York Times. It's not an unreasonable position. So we should believe Baffort’s attorney. Got it. Tough choice, one of them relies on click bait to make a living while the other tries to operate within the legal system while admittedly pushing the edge of the envelope. Forced to make a d...

I don't care what time of the year that upper photo was taken; that horse is in poor condition. And if that happened during quarantine, what the hell are their quarantine conditions like? A horse that is being cared for properly shouldn't end up looking like a refugee from Camerero after the hurric...
