While we are arguing all of this from now until 2063, I hope they do a scan of MS' right front sometime.
Changing leads early could have been the sign of an ouch. Little ouches become bigger.

Re: 2018 JCGC and AA Watchalong

Biscuits finished the best of all the Classic contender winners today. Obviously different tracks but ran the mile and an eighth almost 2 seconds faster than Accelerate.

Re: 2018 JCGC and AA Watchalong

Anyone else notice the winner looked lame after the outrider let him go to jog back to the winners circle? Outrider quickly grabbed him again and they walked the rest of the way back... Trainer made a comment in post race interview with Maggie that he needed to make sure his horse was OK. That puts...

August 18th - Gata’s Applause won race 2 at Monmouth but was pulled up during the gallop out and vanned off. X-rays showed she’d shattered her knee and was euthanized. Condolences to her connections who were devastated 😔

Sharp Stick broke down and was vanned off in the 2nd at Penn tonight. If anyone has any news it would be greatly appreciated, we had him on the farm last winter for lay-up and I always liked him.

She's only six but she is a beast and has almost 40 starts now... Killin them Softly won yesterday at Monmouth for the 15th time in her career! We had her at the vet clinic I work at about 2 years ago when she came in with a tooth that got infected and needed to be pulled. She is a NICE mare and whe...

Re: Del Mar breakdowns

I think this has a lot more to do with who trains in So Cal than any of the surfaces out there.... ...it can also be said that more often than not it's not really the track that's the problem...it's the trend of tapping and inject joints willy-nilly...especially with steroids, eventually you destro...

In case anyone has been wondering about him, Il toro D'Oro is retired and living the good life up in NY with a friend of mine's brother and his wife. They're in love with him and he's enjoying being told how wonderful he is and all the treats he receives for just being pretty.

Re: Foals of 2016

Mintano, just wanted to express my condolences. We lost a mare earlier this year with what I suspect was a similar ruptured uterus while foaling. What a heartbreaking moment. Glad to hear the foal is doing well. Sidenote, did this mare have a filly of hers run at Belmont on Friday? I saw her name a...

Re: Foals of 2016

Thank you all for the kind words and genuinerizk I'm so sorry to hear about your filly. :( The necropsy revealed that the uterine artery ruptured. We tapped her belly to release some of the peritoneal fluid that was building up and making her so uncomfortable. With the release of pressure from the f...

Re: In Memoriam 2016

Details are in the Foals of 2016 thread if anyone is interested. This afternoon we had to euthanize our mare after she suffered a number of complications foaling a 2016 Emcee colt. Thankfully her colt is doing great with his surrogate mom. RIP - Whipporwill Creek (2005-2016) http://img.photobucket.c...

Re: Foals of 2016

We had to euthanize Lily this afternoon. She started going downhill yesterday, her temperature was staying normal but her ...
