Re: G1 Clark Today $600,000

Awesome that Dixiana has another dam of a GR 1 winner. Tom’s D’Etat ran awesome and I didn’t think he was going to win when he was further back than normal. I’ll have to give Julia a mint and extra scratches tomorrow.

Re: Matings 2019

Is there a way to find out if a filly has been retired and bred other than word of mouth from connections? I’m trying to find out if Spring Lily has been retired. She hasn’t been active since her win in the Kalookan Queen Stakes last January. members.breederscup.com is the best site. Just type in 2...

Re: Siblings (and offspring) of well-known horses

Midcourt just won the Gr 3 Native Diver. He’s a son of Gr 1 winner Mayo On the Side. Glad to see Mayo’s last foal seems to be a good one since she passed last year. I had the pleasure of working with him as a foal.

Re: California Chrome to Japan

Has he been sold to stand over there or is he on a lease like The Factor? Boy the Chromies are about to be very angry  The article makes it sound as if he's been sold. They state they purchased him. I'm personally not to surprised...but I think I'm going to have to bury my head in the sand and...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

Has he been sold to stand over there or is he on a lease like The Factor? Well, if my Japanese is good (haha!!), JS Company clearly stated that they PURCHASED California Chrome to make him stand at Arrow Stud. CC has been sold. Well I can’t wait to see all the slaughter comments on Taylor Made’s Fa...

I mean I get supporting your own stallion, but Medaglia d’Oro is getting up there in years so why not breed to him?

Re: In Memoriam 2019

Royal Delta's brother Delta Prince was euthanized Friday due to laminitis and colic. He was set to retire to Adena Springs for 2020. https://www.paulickreport.com/news/bloodstock/grade-1-winner-delta-prince-euthanized-at-age-six/ I hate to say it, but that family seemed to be cursed with the early ...

Re: Colerful Chrome

Didn’t she have something done on her throat? She contracted a relatively uncommon infection that affected cartilage in her throat. It's an infection that can be caused by trauma. The infection displaced cartilage in some way, though not being a vet I don't know how to explain it. She needed a trac...

Re: 2019 List of Mares Bred

I think the more interesting stat for City of Light will be the live foal percentage. It should give some insight into how many mares he got in foal . Was there an issue with that? Yes there was an issue with him getting mares in foal. A mare I work with was bred to him and got in foal on the first...

Looks like Last Kitten was the last mare bred to Pioneerof the Nile. She was bred on 3/18, the same day Pioneer died
It was Lady Kitten.

Per Brandywine’s FB, Champagne Glow was humanely euthanized at the age of 31. She was the dam of Champagne d’Oro and Ruler On Ice

I still don’t think he would have beaten Eight Rings in the race, but getting slammed at the start by Eight Rings definitely didn’t help Express Train at all.

I will be rooting for Express Train. Not every day does a horse you worked with as a foal is in a GR 1
He is stunning.

Re: Santa Anita Autumn Meet

So I wasn’t there for the Del Mar Futurity but I thought Baffert said that Eight Rings had cheaters on that day and that he was putting a full cup on him this time? DRF says that Eight Rings has blinkers on as if it’s an equipment change. Which is it? Perhaps the CHRB will intervene and we won’t fi...
