I've seen the name Blue Gazi pop up in colored pedigrees before I think...

I wonder if Livingston has any pics of him.

Also the sire of the well-known Blue-Eyed Streaker.

Re: Racing in Japan

That was FANTASTIC! Thank you so much for sharing it, tachyon!!! It was so neat to see one of the training centers, and the extended close-up of Almond Eye and her typical day.

I would love to be able to visit one day... definitely on my bucket list.

Re: Racing in Japan

Japan as a racing nation is set to be well represented in the Arc as they target a historic first win in the lucrative Longchamp contest in October, but one horse who will not be travelling to Paris is Tokyo Yushun (Japanese Derby) winner Roger Barows . Connections had announced his challenge for t...

The Racingpost article about Hayayakko described the G3 Leopard as "Japan's sole graded dirt race."

What?
Maybe they meant the only graded dirt race at Nigata?

But there aren't very many in any case...

To Tachyon, lurkey mclurker and everyone who loved Deep Impact, I am so heartbroken at his untimely loss. There never are adequate words at a time like this, so I will just make a symbolic offering in tribute to both Deep Impact and his sire, Sunday Silence: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3e/ae/ea/...
