Re: Stallion News

Maybe AP can sense evil? Why does everything in our time have to be...you don't agree with me politically, so you're evil? I have my political opinions too, but prefer to keep them out of a horse racing forum I enjoy. Here, for me it's about the horses. That's it. Can we keep it that way? But do yo...

Re: Stallion News

Based on my visit to Ashford last year, there's a WHOLE lot of people who could buy the "American Pharaoh didn't bite ME!" T-shirts . :-). BTW I don't believe it either, but it it's true. . .kinda weird. :x Maybe AP can sense evil? Why does everything in our time have to be...you don't agree with m...

In other (non-political) news, California Chrome is learning to bow. Mixed feelings about this. On the one hand, it could help boost Chrome's early stallion career. On the other hand...BB. Re: Article in New York Times states Justify failed a drug test before the Derby

I am a little surprised as to how long they were able to keep this information covered up. Wonder who tipped Drape off? Yeah, amazing that Bloodhorse who I believe knew didn't publish anything at the time when the test came back Anybody else listen to HRRN on the radio today? BigAnthonyStabile of N...

Re: Article in New York Times states Justify failed a drug test before the Derby

During one period, Baffert was giving ALL the horses in his barn a thyroid medication. During the same period, 7 of his horses dropped dead. He has a history of some of his formerly average horses suddenly become world beaters for less than a handful of races, then retired. Posting this link for tho...

I've come to respect the Japanese eye for horseflesh over the years, and IMHO this is quite an endorsement of 'Chrome's future as a sire.
I agree, especially about the Yoshida family. I hope Tachyon and Lurkey McLurker see this.

I was quiet shocked to see Take Charge Indy in this condition. I met him 2016 at Winstar Farm and I could not wrap my head around why they are allow this. It’s a shame. These lovely souls have never done anything wrong... It's not the horses who do anything wrong. Human beings are to blame. P...

Re: Stallion News

So much sad news lately. Deep Impact, King Kamehameha, now Roaring Lion. Overwhelming. Although death is inevitable for all living things, it doesn't get any easier to accept as the years go by.

via @nabecci, a beautiful tribute to Deep Impact at Northern Horse Park, where his dam Wind In Her Hair (IRE) is pensioned.
That is quite remarkable and touching. Thanks for sharing the photo with us.

To Tachyon, lurkey mclurker and everyone who loved Deep Impact, I am so heartbroken at his untimely loss. There never are adequate words at a time like this, so I will just make a symbolic offering in tribute to both Deep Impact and his sire, Sunday Silence: https://i.pinimg.com/originals/3e/ae/ea/3...

I will happily donate. Kurenai, when you get the pool account sorted out, please let me know. I will fund whatever the balance is that you need. Happy to do it.

Edited to say for everyone's benefit, the balance is covered and a bit more.
