Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

The Ramseys are selling this beautiful yearling colt at Fasig-Tipton on Thursday. He's by Kitten's Joy out of Treqqer (Cape Cross). Dam side has Rainbow Quest, Sadler's Wells , and Foolish Pleasure . Broodmare of the Year Natashka is also one of his ancestors. https://scontent-ort2-2.xx.fbcdn.net/v...

Re: Stallion News

After watching that race, I was struck by the fact that Mayano Top Gun had the same type of long, low-headed style of running as the great A.P. Indy.

Tachyon, thank you for sharing that news about Mayano Top Gun. I love the memorial ceremony. It's very touching. Rest in peace, Mach Shock Wave.

Tachyon, how is Orfevre doing as a sire so far? I'm pulling for him to be among the true elite sires. Hi Ridan, Orfevre , 3rd crop sire, sired two G1 winners (Lucky Lilac and Satsuki Sho winner Epoca d'Oro) from his first crop. He had a tough time finding mares this breeding season as his winners-t...

Kentucky is such a competitive bloodstock market that it's hard for new stallions to break through. But I so want Sunday Sil...

Didn’t she have something done on her throat? I thought she lost one eye. She lost her left eye while still a young suckling. Some unknown kind of paddock accident. Then, as a yearling, she developed a relatively uncommon throat infection that ended up requiring surgery to repair displaced cartilag...

Did any of these apply to Mongolian Groom, a homebred by (relatively speaking) nothing out of nothing? No way to know, is there. Lack of such knowledge does not change the overall point, does it. Actually, yes it does. A specific horse has been named. Your admitted "lack of such knowledge" renders ...

Drugs; steroids; stuff done to yearlings to prime them for sales; excessive inbreeding; breeding only for the sales fashion of the day Did any of these apply to Mongolian Groom, a homebred by (relatively speaking) nothing out of nothing? Didn’t she have something done on her throat? She contracted a relatively uncommon infection that affected cartilage in her throat. It's an infection that can be caused by trauma. The infection displaced cartilage in some way, though not being a vet I don't know how to explain it. She needed a trac...

Re: Tragedy hits Santa Anita again

You gotta stop enabling the problems of this sport and ragging on people who want it better. If you don't think anything will change or the public at large won't care, that's fine and not wrong. But people being sick of it isn't a bad thing. Agreed times 1000!. Enough of the public apparently does ...

For the first time in years I happened to be watching the race live on TV and saw the fall as it happened. It was obvious the fallen horse would be put down and that's what happened. So heartbroken about this. Got to be answers. Just got to be. Chart says they clipped heels. Do we wanna blame the s...

Maybe AP can sense evil? Why does everything in our time have to be...you don't agree with me politically, so you're evil? I have my political opinions too, but prefer to keep them out of a horse racing forum I enjoy. Here, for me it's about the horses. That's it. Can we keep it that way? But do yo...
