I also deleted the money pool now. Will edit the first posting in this thread to update the information. :)
Thank you for keeping this forum going, Kurenai. Anything you need, just give us a shout-out. :)

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

^^ She's chestnut, going grey. Called that when she was born, she was highly hyperpigmented. Good to see her growing up. Colerful Chrome is registered as a chestnut. Can that be changed later if she does begin to gray out? I'm assuming they can update that. Happens sometimes when they register befo...

Re: Money Pool for Hosting costs for a year

I will happily donate. Kurenai, when you get the pool account sorted out, please let me know. I will fund whatever the balance is that you need. Happy to do it.

Edited to say for everyone's benefit, the balance is covered and a bit more.

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

This is Colerful Chrome, the 2018 filly by Chrome out of Colerful Bride who lost her right eye at five weeks old. Although she's not as flashy as some of the horses in this thread, notice the white patch on the left side of her tummy and the unusual lightening-shaped marking on her right knee. She a...

The great Serena's Song, now 27 and enjoying life at Denali Stud. Denali's message on their Facebook page says, "Our lovely queen Serena’s Song enjoying the sunshine, her fan visits and wonderful snacks this morning. Can you believe she’s 27?" https://scontent-iad3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/v/t1.0-9/65044652_2...

Re: Stallion News

I appreciate it, but I'm not sure how much inside knowledge I have. I hear some things and I wouldn't post something I don't know to be true. At least not without the stipulation. Thank you for this, and I do apologize if I offended you earlier. My intention was to try to get the point across that ...

Re: Stallion News

Sigh...I have never understood why there is so much negativity on this forum. Anyway, in Kentucky, Chrome was bred to 145 mares in 2017 and 133 in 2018. He had a full book this year and already has mares booked to him for next year. There are no statistics from Chile. However, Haras Sumaya, where he...

Re: Stallion News

And here is the official news from Taylor Made about why Chrome is staying home. (Note that they count the two seasons in Chile plus the three in Kentucky when they say his fifth season.) It's from their Facebook site: https://www.facebook.com/taylormadeadvantage/posts/2383522925016814 Taylor Made F...

Re: Stallion News

Pretty sure I remember the contract was for two years with an option for a third. It is pretty expensive to ship and to insure a stallion, and I am sure they factored that into a return if the interest wasn't overwhelming. Chrome was always going to have to prove himself with results on the track w...

Re: Stallion News

In the meantime, over on the Chrome - National Treasure Facebook site, another person claims there is "interest in him in Europe." I think the same way about that information. Hearsay and worthless unless it comes from TM or the Martins. I did not take MM's comments as a knock against Chrome, or mea...

Re: Stallion News

Well then you heard wrong. Unlike the U.S., where something upwards of 20k Thoroughbred foals are born each year, Chile produces less than 5000. Chrome was received like a rock star there both seasons, with lots of publicity and some well-attended stallion shows featuring only him. At the time the ...

Re: Stallion News

I thought Chrome's contract was for 3 seasons in Chile. He's not stood 3 there yet has he? It's been 2 SH seasons for him. I also heard that he may not have attracted as many mares there as hoped. Well then you heard wrong. Unlike the U.S., where something upwards of 20k Thoroughbred foals are born...

TAKE CHARGE LADY has died https://imgur.com/a/zyp9HNK no news outlets reporting it, but i have confirmation from Steve Byk Oh no... that's going to leave a void for sure. Re: Kentucky Derby : Do you agree with the stewards decision?

I hope Gary West doesn't wind up sounding like Steve Coburn after Chrome's Belmont. https://www.drf.com/news/west-contemplates-challenging-derby-ruling-federal-court This is so unkind and unfair in multiple ways. Human beings are...human! Who knew. Mr. West said it best. He's been in the business 4...
