Re: California Chrome to Japan

There is one thing to be sad about your favorite horse being sent where you cannot visit them, it's another to degrade the country that is buying them, threaten the old owners, etc. I'd be more considerate of their emotions if they actually were rational in their reactions and didn't act as though h...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

On Facebook Taylor Made has been nicknamed Traitor Made...when will the crazies give it a rest? The farm has done absolutely nothing WRONG except that they accepted an offer I predicted would be coming along soon in Chromes career...when the horse FIRST went to stud I predicted that he was going to...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

It seems like a good move, I'm sure he will be very well supported in Japan! (I hope the craziness with his fans is kept to a minimum, he will have a nice home.) Oh, they are out with pitchforks on FB. Basically, Taylor Made ruined the whole racing industry with this move because they sold the #1 a...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

Has he been sold to stand over there or is he on a lease like The Factor? Boy the Chromies are about to be very angry  The article makes it sound as if he's been sold. They state they purchased him. I'm personally not to surprised...but I think I'm going to have to bury my head in the sand and...

Re: California Chrome to Japan

https://www.horseracingnation.com/news/Stallion_California_Chrome_purchased_by_Japanese_interests_123# With the way his foals were selling to Japanese buyers recently, I wondered how soon it would be before we saw this news. With him being a G1 winner on turf and dirt, it doesn't surprise me at all ...

Re: Colerful Chrome

I assume that people are acting like they own her because they took the 'People's Horse' thing literally and believe they do own her. I hope she makes a lovely riding horse for somebody and glad they aren't pushing her into something she wouldn't be successful at.

I think Bricks and Mortor with his 5 G1s and perfect 6 for 6 season gets Horse of the Year. Mitole did have a fantastic season though!

Just watched the replay as I was too focused on Vino Rosso and McKinzie to notice it before... definitely looked like the same type of injury Barbaro had :(

This is a sweet conflict of interest. Good for her for keeping it together - not sure I could!
I can say that she is so professional! I would have been a mess LOL

If there ever was a year for a foreign horse to ship in and try the Classic, this is the year. Are there any potential candidates?
Or a filly. But are there any?
Wasn't Elate considering it?

Re: Article in New York Times states Justify failed a drug test before the Derby

Just because a vet would “never” use it as a PED because if side effects doesn’t mean the man with 7 dead horses wouldn’t. The amount of blind eye people are using to explain this away is annoying and slightly disturbing. Even if given by an accident there is a reason it’s banned over a certain lim...
