Re: 2019 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

And so does every other breeder of thoroughbreds. And any discerning fan. ;) But we all know we'd do anything to have Mandy Pope's broodmare band, whether or not they produce the next great star. Not at all. Amen. There's no 'Grandma's recipe' for any of this genetic jumble. 95% good fortune, not n...

Honor A.P., a gorgeous son of Honor Code and Hollywood Story, broke his maiden by about 5 lengths - easy. He won on the lead, unlike his debut when he closed from 20 lengths out of it
2-turns, right?

If there ever was a year for a foreign horse to ship in and try the Classic, this is the year. Are there any potential candidates?

Is Chad Brown's horses there for training? Would love to see Sistercharlie While Chad has horses stabled far and wide because he has so many horses in his barn, since she ran this past weekend at Belmont, and there is no reason for her to be in KY, she'll probably be with his main string in New Yor...

Bernardini is a turning out to be a fantastic broodmare sire..l Yes he is. Didnt we have this discussion a couple years ago? I’m not sure - a couple of years ago, I don’t know that he had enough runners to really make a judgment. The discussion I recall having with someone here was more predictive ...

Maxfield very impressive in winning the Breeders Futurity by about 6 lengths. He's by Street Sense out of a Bernardini mare, so more distance should be no problem.

His legacy as a stallion hasn't been written in full just yet. He's a solid broodmare sire and that isn't going to end anytime soon.

It's early yet, but better than even money at this point that I'll be heading back to the hotel before post time of the Classic.
That's completely boring.
I'm disappointed. You are one of the few who should know that 'back to the hotel' is code-word for celebrating.

Re: G2 Beldame

Personally, I think the big mare looked a little vulnerable today. Will see what the figure comes back, but a long campaign may be taking it's toll. If I'm Mott, I'm taking another shot at her at Santa Anita. Big Balloons in the Distaff? I guess a lot depends on how Elate runs in the Spinster -- do...

I initially read the short comments only, so honestly can't say without watching the race (I won't) what effect, if any, clipping heels had to do with the horses' injuries. Sorry if I commented without 100% of the information.

Re: Heartbreak...another horse dies during Santa Anita race

For the first time in years I happened to be watching the race live on TV and saw the fall as it happened. It was obvious the fallen horse would be put down and that's what happened. So heartbroken about this. Got to be answers. Just got to be. Chart says they clipped heels. Do we wanna blame the s...

I thought Vexatious, Creative Cause's sister, was running in the Beldame. Does anyone know why she was scratched?
