Re: Saturday Gulfstream Watchalong

Not sure if the track changed, but final time was quicker than the older horses earlier. I like the winner, and I'm happy for Manny, but if this was a normal year, I would not be betting this horse in the Derby off this race. I'm skeptical of how tough this race will come back when all is said and ...

I'm sure Dale dreamed about this day for a while, but it didn't involve the horse he's saddled today, did it?

Gonna be 100-1+

Re: Who Can't You Delete Out of Your Virtual Stable?

One of my stay at home projects was to clean mine up. Going through it, here are who I can't delete: - Siphonic - Sky Mesa - Ashado - Chapel Royal - English Channel - Ghostzapper - Sightseek and her half-sister Tates Creek - Informed Decision - Rachel - Better Lucky Such a strange thing to hold ont...

Re: 2020 Fillies + Mares

I would suggest the uncertainty of the NY Stakes Schedule at this point is not something to be pointing for. Could they move the Belmont and still run the supporting stakes as scheduled? sure. Wanna bet on it happening? I wouldn't. Now, what about Saratoga's schedule? Bottom line, you can't blame a...

Re: Arkansas Derby possible rescheduling

What's their plan with the Apple Blossom at this point? Currently still scheduled for April 18th. They only moved a few races, the Arkansas Derby(May 2nd), Fantasy(May 1st), Oaklawn Invitational(April 11th), Count Fleet H(April 18) and Oaklawn H(May 2nd). I read they reduced the Apple Blossom purse...

Re: Gulfstream threatens legal action if forced to shut down racing

I say if you're not personally impacted why not try live and let live rather than playing cop who knows everything? This is amazingly naïve or obtuse. Your choice of idioms is amazingly ironic. One of the advantages of not living in North Korea. I just wish they'd be honest about whether they're ru...

Re: Foal bowling

We need a little humor this weekend, but I was certainly relieved to see that all foals involved were safe! This is a perfect example to show someone when they ask, "How do horses hurt themselves so much?" He looks a little shocked, but certainly full of himself! https://twitter.com/i/status/124039...

Re: 2020 Fillies + Mares

It would be the La Troienne in May but I don't know if CD will run races which is scheduled for 2 weeks after the Apple Blossom, the next is the Ogden Phipps in June, then the Clement Hirsh in July. I would suggest the uncertainty of the NY Stakes Schedule at this point is not something to be point...

I don't have a savior complex. That is for white liberal women. I just would like my horses to have a fair shot. Not asking too much considering how much the feed bill is each month.
An owner now? All those Circular Quay homebreds finally hit the racetrack?

Re: Michael Dubb must resign from the NYRA Board

NY's next gubernatorial election is 2020. If he's not outed before that maybe you'll get lucky and he'll donate less to Cuomo's campaign. Cuomo had to take over the NYRA at one point. Does the corruption ever end in this sport? Maybe it is time to take up golf. You're one person who can't stay away...

Re: From the owners, gamblers, fans & HORSES. Thank you FBI.

Haven't read every post in all the threads, but I do appreciate Maggie Moss calling out Brad Weisbord, who decided to claim innocence of any knowledge of this activity prior to (from what I saw) being accused of knowing anything. Don't like that guy, and knowing enough about the game, he doesn't get...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

Holy cow this is HUGE. Like, huger than even I thought. Navarro and Servis had been working together the entire time! They even have a phone call between Servis and Navarro in which Servis recommends SGF-1000 to Navarro (stating "I've been using it on everything almost"). Navarro shortly afterwards...
