Re: Battle of Midway

Wasn't there a bit of a hoopla when Shelbe Ruiz scratched her horse because she felt that the track wasn't safe to run on and then she got in trouble over saying the track wasn't safe and they didn't care about the horses? Re: Halters

Aaaaaah that explains it! Thanks for the info, although I most likely can't afford them at the moment, I was curious about it. :D Shacklefords looks really worn and not one of those "keep it on for a few minutes then sell it" deal.

Re: And The Oscar Goes To.....

I honestly don't get the buzz about Rami Malek. He did a good job, given the material he had to work with (not a big fan of the Queen movie, it barely scratched the surface and they made so much stuff up, plus Freddy came across very one dimensional) and yes he put obviously work into it, but Oscar ...

Re: BaroqueAgain?????

BaroqueAgain is okay! She has her PC up and running now and will be back! :D

She wrote me some more, but I'll leave it to her to write about what happened. :) I'm sooo happy she is okay considering the circumstances.

Re: In memoriam 2018

I am so upset about the comments regarding the euthanasia of Soaring Empire on The Blood Horse article. I wish they would have explained just with one sentence that he wasn't adjusting well to his blindness and wouldn't move out of the stall in this article. Everyone would have understood. The way ...

Re: BaroqueAgain?????

I only have her email addy from registration, nothing more. I sent her an email asking her if she's ok and did let her know that you guys are thinking about her. Maybe she has access to mails and can reply with a short message. Fingers crossed!

Re: New Conformation Photos

Almanzor looks really good.

Arrogate... I know that picture isn't flattering, but he looks sewn together. how the withers mold into his back is... strange looking (makes me wonder if he ever had back problems). The back half of him looks nice though!

I wrote in for The Player (it's either him or Hoppy), he and his connections represent everything that is good about the sport and he is one of a kind and a true character.

Re: Accelerate vs Justify HOTY

Don't care that Justify is undefeated, because he only raced 6 times. So that doesn't count. He's also not the only undefeated TC winner, if he is, then Slew is too. He has 4 G1s to his resume, but all in restricted company. If those 3 G1s wouldn't be called the Triple Crown, there wouldn't even be ...

Re: Breeders' Cup Watchalong Thread

Damn, was hoping Mendy wouldn't have to gun it out so much at the start (still think he's better than Thunder Snow) and maybe he was a bit tired after the JCGC. Nothing to be ashamed of, he's still my fave! Great race by Accelerate, Thunder Snow and yay for Yoshida! This should mean HOTY for him, at...
