Re: What if we had a National Racing Czar?

Fair enough. Maybe I should delete my last couple of posts. No one here likes me much anymore anyway... see ya.

Re: Horses sent to Korea-what happens to them

People need to stop acting like the world is black and white. There are grey areas. Amen to this like a billion times over and in every facet of life. Sincerely. Back to the current facet this post from another thread might be well paced here: https://www.thoroughbredchampions.com/forum/viewtopic.p...

Re: The derby to possibly get one gate

"Classic Empire was in the 14 post, which sounds like a wonderful post because it's the outside post in the main gate. But look at it this way: If we are standing side by side and I hit you with my shoulder, I can nudge you a little. But if I go 15 feet with a running start and hit you, it will sen...

Worth repeating, from late July.... ;) https://twitter.com/andyserling/status/1155252957128077312 He's a fan. Nothing wrong with that... :) https://twitter.com/andyserling/status/1165623606468141057 I'm trying to figure out which part of that was "worth repeating." He has been an extraordinarily un...

Re: Travers 2019

Excellent race by Code of Honor. I can always find something positive if Shug wins a race. He's an easy guy to root for, and CoH is growing on me. Tacitus did not get the best of trips, but it was probably a slight better trip than Mucho Gusto had if one is splitting hairs (his position versus the i...

Re: Travers 2019

Probably not betting this year, but I'm pulling for Tax or Mucho Gusto.
Tacitus' medical record entry from yesterday is mildly concerning, hut maybe nothing. Hope they all come back safe.

Re: Saratoga 2019

I have been up here for much of the meet this year, so I will make a few comments from my personal perspective. The Saturday cancelation was a good call. The humidity is what may have killed a horse or two. I went on Sunday, IMO that should have been canceled as well. There are a ton of scratches e...

Re: Haskell Day

Is the point that Maximum Security was a better horse than King For a Day Saturday or that the latter could have been fourth or even third had he not been checked sharply? hard to say, but he was backing out of there pretty quickly before the claim of foul occurred. Don't think he would have finish...

Re: Haskell Day

As another South Florida resident, agreed on all accounts. Saez isn't my favorite rider but he did nothing wrong. Gaffalione was the villain in the Derby for his incomparably stupid scared maneuver, cutting outside into heavy traffic. Gee, what could go wrong? There was obviously a clipping of the ...

Re: Haskell Day

I thought running the stakes later was a good compromise. Living in South Florida I've never understood the need to start running at 12:30 in the summer when it's light til 8:00 anyway. Was very happy to see Maximum Security get another win, I don't see he did anything wrong, seemed to stay in his ...
