Re: The Rebel Parts I and II

Do you think that if Improbable had a more experienced jockey that he would have won this race? I didn't like that he was hung out on the outside either as I think it cost him the race.

Re: Earthquakes, Tsunamis & Volcanos

Here is the current accurate information for the earthquake that hit Anchorage this morning, I live about 365 miles north of the epicenter and some people in Fairbanks and surrounding areas felt the initial earthquake, however I did not.

What a race!
Any chance Enable would go to Australia and race against Winx? That would be an interesting race!!

Re: 2018 Breeders' Cup Classic (G1) - Nov 3rd

Treve, I was wondering the same thing when I saw the odds, it doesn't make sense! I’m a little bit puzzled by some of those morning line odds though. What in the world suggests West Coast and especially McKinzie warrant 5-1 and 6-1 odds whilst Catholic Boy, Mendelssohn and Yoshida range from 8-1 to ...

Re: Earthquakes, Tsunamis & Volcanos

There were two earthquakes that occurred at the same time yesterday morning in Tanana Alaska which is a small village North of Fairbanks, it woke me up out of a sound sleep. Earthquakes are pretty common in Alaska with many happening each day that most people don't even notice them. Fairbanks is far...

Anyone know why Mott decided to add blinkers on Hofburg? He's won without blinkers so it surprised me that Mott added them.

Re: horses with unique coloring/facial markings

Retro,
Thank you for your response but can a foal that has shed out to what looks like chestnut to my untrained eye then turn grey?

Can a foal continue to change color after their winter coat has been shed out completely?

Eclair de Lune (GER) --> Frosted

I really hope they don't name the foal "Frosted Doughnut" as a play on Eclair and Frosted

With so many of the fillies and mares that Mike Smith rides planning to run in the Breeders Cup Distaff, who will he actually choose and what chances do you all think the fillies and mares he chooses NOT to ride have at winning the race?

Re: Justify

Tessa, Will he stand at Winstar? I thought he was going to Coolmore.... I wish they would just make up their damn minds and announce where he will stand. He could have been an excellent four-year-old but, once the connections decided that he wouldn't make the BC Classic 100% ready, I knew that was ...

Izvestia Justify isn't the only undefeated triple crown winner, Seattle Slew was undefeated as well. Justify is the only undefeated triple crown winner that didn't race as a 2 year old and is the only undefeated triple crown winner still living. Surprise!!! Not. Reasons for this: 1) running the sno...

Definitely like the nod to Foal Patrol.... better than Bird Empire or Bird Maker. I hope they do Foal Patrol again next year.
I do too! Who did Bird Town go to this year?

Anyone know what the story behind the Wheels Up advertisement that Mike Smith has on the collar of his shirt and the folks from Winstar had on the baseball caps they are wearing, it was also on the sheet Justify had on the other day. Thanks Treve https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/227...
