Re: Santa Anita 2019

More reactive measures instead of proactive ones. I guess I should be grateful for anything. I suppose the worst is that the industry is taking the measures in a desperate form to look good as opposed to doing this to truly better itself. That will ultimately be it's downfall. This industry is makin...

Re: Santa Anita 2019

He retweeted himself from 2015 as part of a larger tweet providing commentary the Bill Morley situation with the CHRB.

Obviously don't condone improper use of drugs but it's amazing how what we get out of bad track management/rain is that horseman are at fault.

Re: Kentucky Derby Top 5

Do you really think racing could be fully banned? It accounts for such a tremendous amount of money that I'm not sure it could go away completely. Would the liberal progressive elements in NY shoot themselves in the foot because they don't understand economics and push a job creating international ...

Re: Kentucky Derby Top 5

That's fair but they are not a silent organization. They have tremendous sway and use social media in ways racing does not. If racing does comply with measures going forward I worry what it'll mean. Do you really think racing could be fully banned? It accounts for such a tremendous amount of money t...

Re: Kentucky Derby Top 5

I have heard some things, but you don't even give them an inch. This is a slippery slope I'd rather racing not have gone down.

Do horses even race 4 times prior to the Derby anymore?

May I take your order?

Wonder Gadot: I'd like some class relief, please.

Casse: Your next start will be the La Troienne.
Sigh. So true.

Re: Arkansas Derby G1 Million Dollars

Improbable actually really impressed me. First-time blinkers and he took a lot of dirt but still ended up wide and never gave up. I don't think he wants any part of 10f, but he's a nice, tough horse. I'm not falling into fallacy that closers want more distance, but he didn't really look like a hors...

Re: 2019 Three-Year-Olds

I don't even know why CDI cares about international participant-ship anyway. Have you ever seen the figures for Japanese or Chinese wagering? :P I can understand why CDI would try to entice those fans to put some of that humongous pile o' money on a horse in which they have a home-grown interest. T...

Re: No Whip Friday @ Santa Anita

Have you ever muted the TV or radio because you were straight embarrassed by what's happening? This is how I feel about the entire sport right now. Why not do this first? I cannot believe the amount of ineptitude here. Proactive, not reactive. The amount of money caught up at this level of ineptitud...

Re: Streaming Video of Races

I have really enjoyed aging. I'm smarter and richer in so many things every year. My body has always hated me so the "wait til you get old thing" never meant much. We get to drink beers in the shower. I've never really cared what people think but now I really just don't care. I think my next car wil...

Re: Santa Anita Derby

I hope you're right, if only because I'd like War Front to justify his stud fee. FHF really has some thing for WW2 names huh. If I remember correctly V saved Normandy Invasion's name for a special one? Or was that Havre de Grave? Anyway, if you've got a similar name it makes me wonder if they've kno...
