1. Roadster--he's good and getting better. 2. Omaha Beach--fast, improving and a good head. 3. Maximum Security--fast but will need to rate because he won't get that pace this time. 4. Bodexpress--the most improved horse in the race; could shock the world. 5. Owendale--bounced back and looked good l...
I'd have given you 20-1 on Roadster at the half-mile pole. I wouldn't count Game Winner out in a month--according to DRF, Baffert said he wasn't fully cranked; he didn't need to be. I don't know how his grinding style will play in the Derby but he'll finish. Liked that neither Baffert jockey was tr...
I did too. Just as I thought "Well, he's a flop," they start calling his name. He has great acceleration.
I like Maximum Security, he's my second choice, maybe my third depending how the Ark. Derby turns out. But I hope he's no one else's second choice or top choice or third choice. I hope he's not even 12-1, more like 20-1. Isn't that what you hope for when you like a horse? I don't like the Dubai winn...
Decent list, except #3 that race was maybe Grade 3 level horses, he'd be somewhere between 5th to 12th in big preps here. Maximum Security should be #1 by far. The rest are slow.

I doubt the post matters much. I do doubt his stamina right now, he sure looked tired in the Preakness. It wouldn't be surprising to see him poop out this time and finish off the board, he is made of flesh and blood after all.
Interesting to hear former jockey now XBTV commentator Rich Migliore comment on one of their segments that he thought that Hofburg was the horse to beat, and that Justify might have trouble with the mile and a half and the deep sandy track at Belmont. Said he would be watching closely to see how he...

I haven't finalized my picks but will definitely have one tri box and ex tossing Justify, Mendelssohn & Audible. Not sure if I should still include My Boy Jack in my box with Hofburg, Vino, Good Magic, Bolt since Jack's 5-1 now; I was planning on 15 or 20-1. If it's just one big win bet he might sti...

I think a blast from past top trainer will break up that exacta.stark wrote:Will be betting on an all-Pletcher exacta box in the LaDerby.
What say you?
Bob didn't want to build up any early Derby hype. You know how he likes to fly under the radar and stay out of the spotlight.tcw wrote:Anyone know why Justify took so long to run in the afternoon?
My new book, Leather Head, is my biggest success yet. It's twisted horror and I scheduled it to come out right before Halloween. I guess that helped because it's my biggest seller yet! Yeah! You can get it on Amazon, an eBook novelette, a quick read. All 5 star reviews so far!
