Except that's pretty much untrue, which is why people are objecting to the comment.

Would hardly call that "biting the dust".

Not a huge deal. I look forward to his fall campaign.

and yet, had things been just a smidge different, he would have won. He's a TC winner in my book . ..... And your book is pure fiction. Let's give them all participation trophies. Never said to give them all trophies. Tell me, what part of Chrome's run, was not good enough to win a TC? What didn't ...

Re: Even the playing field in the TC - points for ALL races

Unless they both meet up in one of the BC races, I don't think that will happen. CC will go back to California, and Tonalist will race here in the northeast. He's a nice horse. He won a Grade II race going into the Belmont. But, I'm still of the opinion that a horse shouldn't get to run in the Belm...

Kelly Kip, since you left out my entire message to you (obviously, picked what you wished!). Here is my last message to you concerning this matter .... You have 30 years of bull, that's what you have! I had nearly 30 years of medical experience ... with a license to do so. Having that horse out of ...

Re: Keeneland Reverts to Dirt

Anecdotally speaking...we had horses in training at Arlington for 18 months. During that time, the dirt training track was like Grand Central in the mornings, while the poly main track sat mostly empty except for the horses doing timed works. It wasn't my perception. The trainers were perfectly hap...

Meaning no quarrel or challenge, harvestmoon, but I said those things precisely to put my comments into the proper perspective. I'm posting with the compassion and worry of a caring human being, not as a critic of the vets. Also, underlining what I already volunteered about myself is really petty. ...

Re: Penn State Vet School Foal Cam-My Special Girl

Just a minute ago, saw 4 people in the stall and half of them with cameras taking pictures of the foal while the mare was held back. Is it really necessary? I'm with you, Carole. Putting aside the fact that I have zero vet training or experience with foaling , just as a human being my instinct says...

Roger would never, ever, EVER do anything but what he thought was best for a horse. He is careful to a fault, and truly loves his charges. I know the trainer, and I knew the horse. Please, it hurts enough to lose one. Reading something like this comment is almost too much to bear. I am very, very s...

Re: Most overrated horses

Havre de Grace. Nice horse, but I don't really think her schedule was HOTY worthy. Of course, the pickings were slim that year, but I probably would've gone with Game On Dude. 2 G1 wins in open company, as opposed to just 1. Plus a better finish in the Classic.

Just my opinion, though.

I don't know if it's the angle of the photo or if she's moving, but that back leg is scary.

Yes, it is.
She's just moving. Or she has her leg cocked.
