Re: Fire at San Luis Rey!?

This update on Richard's Boy, Typhoon and Tsunami is from this article: https://www.paulickreport.com/news/the-biz/san-luis-rey-fire-industry-bands-together-funding-supplies-volunteers/ Social media has also been key in helping owners and trainers to identify missing horses. Matt Nakatani found Bre...

Re: 2017 Keeneland November Sale

So, I am not too well-versed in the sales stuff, so this may be a dumb question, but can someone answer this for me: Brian Graves purchased the weanling filly by American Pharoah o/o Life at Ten and in an interview said the following: "We intend to re-sell her next year," said Graves...American Pha...

Re: 2017 Keeneland November Sale

She's very antsy...not surprising for a mare who just came off the track. She looks good. Better than she did last Friday. :? Probably because she's more hydrated. $6,000,000. Love the stretch she did just before she left the ring. Cat-like. :D I was thinking all of this too! :) Ditto. She looked s...

Re: 2017 Fasig-Tipton November Sale

American Pharoah's foal o/o Untouched Talent went to Narvick International - does this mean she'll only ever be used as a broodmare and will never race? That would be a HUGE shame.

Re: TBC Breeders Cup Watch Party/Discussion Thread

1) Not sure how this works, but my assumption is that "the year" means the calendar year, so the Pegasus would be counted in this year's accomplishments 2) Technically 1 win this year since the DWC doesn't technically count 3) Based on accomplishments, Gun Runner should probably win, but lest we fo...

Re: TBC Breeders Cup Watch Party/Discussion Thread

Guess this confirms that Arrogate really, really , REALLY hates Del Mar. :P Hate to see the big grey go out on such a low note. Which seem to be the BC theme this year. :( Great run by the Gunner. So...does this earn him the HOTY title? Hard to believe, after Arrogate's stunning wins in the Pegasus...

Re: TBC Breeders Cup Watch Party/Discussion Thread

Is GR slated to retire or are they open to a 5 year old season? not 100% sure on this but I recall comments that depending on how he finished out the year, another season wouldn't be out of the question and I seem to remember they for sure want to take a shot at the PWC. Good timing on this questio...

Re: TBC Breeders Cup Watch Party/Discussion Thread

I haven't read up too much on what Juddmonte has said re: Arrogate's retirement, but is there any reason they choose now to retire him rather than retiring him after say, the Pegasus? Breeding season wouldn't even start til after that, right? I read somewhere that they wanted to give him time to co...

Re: TBC Breeders Cup Watch Party/Discussion Thread

I know it's stupid to blame the track, and I don't, but I do wonder if Arrogate would have done any better had the BCC been at Santa Anita or somewhere other than Del Mar this year. All signs point to him just not being the same horse anymore, but it can't be a coincidence that all of his worst perf...
