Re: Saturday Gulfstream Watchalong

The rail was gold on the dirt there today. Maybe it changes tomorrow, but I'm skeptical, so maybe keep that in mind.

Re: The Florida Derby

Stay safe Andy. And that goes for all the backside workers who are caring for the horses, as well. Thanks. For sure on the workers. I know this is a very hard time for people, but if anyone can give even a few bucks, the chaplaincy is a great place to donate to help the people on the backstretch. H...

NYS is scouting it for a potential temp hospital site tomorrow....
I'm a little slow.

I saw that. I think it's already a testing site for First Responders.

I'll actually be out there at least the next two days for a few hours.

Javier isn't based out of NY in the Winter. I don't believe he has been at Aqueduct since December.
Aqueduct will be coronavirus itself.
I guess you decided to stop pretending you weren't QC.

Will this nice card make it onto some TV coverage? Like maybe FS1 or NBCSN?
We are on FS1 from 1:30 to 7 ET and covering Gulfstream, Oaklawn, SA, and probably some Tampa Bay.

Re: Worth watching these again

Andy Serling, a man I follow on Twitter, has been posting some of these great races on his account. They have brought back so many wonderful memories and breath taking moments in this sport which we all love, some of which I had forgotten. I'm not sure if he would mind me stealing the ones he has p...

There's really nothing like a great multiple discussion to help us through these difficult times.

Just curious: you only joined February 20, so how are you familiar with Quiet Chris? Let me guess. . . .
It wouldn't be the first time he has engaged himself as a multiple:-)

Re: FBI raid at Calder

When has it been suggested that Graham has an issue getting horses?

He's a terrific trainer, great person, a friend of mine, and all that, but I don't think the issue is him not getting horses.

Now THIS is wild. Stripping Maximum Security of his Eclipse is an actual conversation! https://www.bloodhorse.com/horse-racing/articles/238990/maximum-securitys-championship-may-be-at-risk?utm_source=BHTW&utm_medium=social I’m not saying I believe it will happen, but... the fact that they’re even s...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

Agree to disagree. No breeder in their right mind is going to want to breed to him now unless that stud fee drops tremendously, and Coolmore paid $10million for him. If they want to generate interest in him again, they’re going to have to let him prove himself honestly. It’s totally possible that h...

Re: 2020 Hall of Fame Nominees

I won't be voting for Rags to Riches ever. It's the Hall of Fame. She shouldn't even be a nominee in my opinion. I guess different strokes for different folks. You don’t think she was that good? I mean, what are the standards? If we’re talking longevity, AP Indy shouldn’t be in the HoF...and I ador...

What freakin' difference does it make?
Is there some sort of reward/prize if internet investigations turns up a contrary opinion?
Geesh.
It's always especially gratifying when Miss Manners checks in with what is and isn't allowable in internet chat rooms.

Why not buy that she’s sound? The owners made it clear that they are a breeding operation - they probably want to get an extra foal out of her to sell at auction...
Well, why then was she working out in February of this year?

Re: 2020 Older Horses

I bet you see him in the Oaklawn Mile, as assuming Warrior's Charge is pointing towards the Oaklawn Handicap, you would think Cox would want to keep them apart. While Warrior's Charge seems the better horse, the speed of Knicks Go would only get in the way of Warrior's Charge's preferred running sty...
