I am torn between Tonalist’s Shape and Spice Is Nice. I might lean towards the latter because Bernardini is hot as a broodmare sire right now.
Of course I adore Bernardini, and I LOVED Dame Dorothy; she was a wonderful mare, so it's nice to see her have such a promising filly.

What freakin' difference does it make?
Is there some sort of reward/prize if internet investigations turns up a contrary opinion?
Geesh.
Why are you so offended by my question? Good grief.

Re: 2020 Fillies + Mares

Why not buy that she’s sound? The owners made it clear that they are a breeding operation - they probably want to get an extra foal out of her to sell at auction... Well, why then was she working out in February of this year? Good point, lol ...but why not just say she’s injured or not at her best?...

Re: Stallion News

I remember him, he was a really attractive horse. He was a full brother to G1SW Tappiano. The only foal of his I can think of is Galloping Grocer who ran in the 2005 Preakness. Glad you remember A.P. Jet and Galloping Grocer. I was cheering for the NY-bred Galloping Grocer. He ran into the likes of...

Re: Stallion News

Sharing that video of A.P. Indy between Mineshaft and Honor Code . I love it so much. Mineshaft and Honor Code (especially Honor Code) are moving about and being energetic and A.P. Indy just kinda looks at them like, "good grief." https://www.facebook.com/lanesendfarm/videos/208347796886202/ I love...

Re: Stallion News

May he rest in peace. A.P. Indy raced for a Japanese owner Tomonori Tsurumaki. As a great sire of sires, he is having a big influence on Japanese racing, too. I remember being scared that Tsurumaki would send him to stud in Japan, but it turns out that he wasn’t interested in breeding. We came clos...

I’ve never seen this before..Mr. Farish sure did love Indy, and Indy loved him back. How sad it must be for everyone at Lane’s End to pass his empty stall...

Re: Top Ten Lists 2020 Kentucky Derby

This just keeps getting better. Pulpit flopped going longer because he lost to Captain Bodgit? Captain Bodgit would be odds on to win the Derby against this crowd. Pulpit won the Bluegrass at the dreaded 9F distance and ran 4th behind some very good horses in the Derby before being injured. He was ...

Re: Stallion News

Me too. I saw him race every time he ran in Southern California and have loved him from the first time I saw him. What a great, great horse. Many tears tonight. He was the last living great sire who was a maternal grandson of Secretariat. It is for this reason that I hope Chrome becomes a successfu...

Here is baby AP....

I also forgot - can't believe - how CRUSHED I was when he had to scratch out of the Derby on the morning of. I still haven't quite gotten over it.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooo ! I'm heartbroken......god, I loved that horse. He lived a LONG, happy life, and for that I'm grateful. Indy carried on his great sire's legacy and he's name will run through generations of racehorses. I wish, wish WISH I had visited him. Me too. I saw him race every time ...

Re: A. P. INDY - R. I. P.

I shouldn't be in shock given his age, but I am..... I guess I thought he'd live forever. I loved his sire so much, and I loved AP - and I'll love him forever. He was a brilliant racehorse and incredible sire - and his name will live on for generation. Why didn't I visit him? I regret that, sigh.

Claiborne just shared that Preach, the dam of Pulpit has passed away at the age of 31.
Aww, how sad, but she lived a long and happy life, and she'll live on through her brilliant son, Pulpit.

Modernist who won the 2nd division of the Risen Star(G2) is out of Symbolic Gesture a half-sister to Life Is Sweet and Sweet Catomine. Another SW for Bernardini as a broodmare sire... Considering he has seen nothing but the BEST broodmares from the first moment he walked into the breeding shed (and...
