Re: New Stallions of 2020

Well, dang. Was hoping he would race another year. Racing Post @RacingPost Thunder Snow , the only dual winner of the Dubai World Cup i can guarantee it, no one remembers him for that reason, lol. granted, the real reason we remember him isn't what you'd use to advertise your horse   I t...

australia blue mountains are under "catastrophic" fire conditions. evacs are being urged but are not mandatory yet. however, schools are closed. boyfriend is sitting home playing video games. "you should just trust him!" san luis ray. fire does what it wants, when it wants, how it wants. my anxiety ...

Re: The 'Runs Like a Girl' thread

curious question; generally i hear ppl say things like "colts are faster on average because testosterone and guy stuff and fillies/mares can't compete unless they're EXTRA good" but with the girls winning/running well this BC, and doing so regularly over seas, how true even is that idea? i mean fair...

Re: New Stallions of 2020

"i can guarantee it, no one remembers him for that reason...." I'm pretty sure most members of this forum ( to say nothing of actual breeders ) remember his two World Cup wins quite well, even if you don't. :P unless you're also joking... of course i remember it  i was joking abt his kentucky...

Re: 2019 BC Classic

I'd like to whip PETA in the face. If there is really anything that has been done so far that is just ludicrous it's TSG deciding the break bread with and give a bunch of extremist idiots a seat at the table. Shoving the cork back on this is not going to be possible. As for the trainers comment - w...

Re: 2019 BC Classic

Wish Vino would race on one more year- just coming into his own. With all of those big money races next year he could have a Gun Runner- type campaign and go for HOY. Curlins improve with age- sad we will not get to see this with Vino. Liam's Map retiring made me the angriest i'd ever been about a ...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

there was a whole thing in the breeding section about x-rays and radiographs being fudged at sales. the articles cited may have been over stating it, to be fair, but it read as a widespread issue that gets buried as a dirty secret. not being a buyer, i don't know how over stated it was *shrug emoji...

Inspected this horse as a 2yo at OBS, he was crooked and had issues that I do not recall on his radiographs
that's a very big problem that racing should be waaaay more concerned about than they are.

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

The photographer on FB, Matt Wooley is saying good bye to Santa Anita. PETA will be all over this. Mongolian Groom was a favorite of mine, but PETA must not be allowed to define the future of the sport. or anything else except "this is what greedy selfish no-life attention whoring brainless jack@$$...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

he was loaded though, so i'm guessing if the tents went up for a load, it had to be a bad break... It was a bad break (same as Barbaros, guess both Sesamoids are gone), but generally those tents go up to prevent the horse from spooking and restricting it's movement. ah, yeah hadn't considered that ...

Re: Breeders Cup Discussion?

Well, the industry gambled and lost. It's horse racing; I don't know why we expected a win. Now an entire sport holds its breath. It was fun talking to you all today before this happened. Thank you everyone for making this day so fun; wish it had ended better. I guess it depends if the tent went up...
