Re: Feud between DRF & CDI goes to next level

DRF is a company that has been on the verge of bankruptcy multiple times, while CDI stock has skyrocketed in the last 10 years. DRF runs a terrible business that will require a massive overhaul by its new owners. CD did not want to be held hostage by DRF for a sizable payment that would keep it in t...

Definitely West Coast
I think it'll come down to Oscar Performance and West Coast.
Oscar Performance should finish second in the voting. A DISTANT second.

Given Porter’s comments, where he more or less insinuated that Hollendorfer ran an injured horse in the Personal Ensign, its no surprise if their business relationship is over.

Re: Keeneland, Churchill partnering on two new racetracks

I think everyone but KEE and CD are scratching their heads over this one. I'd prefer that these two entities, along with other current Ky tracks, work to improve their product enough so that there is at least a 9-month period of quality racing in Ky. It's a shame that no one wants to keep top horse...

Re: 3 YOs of 2017

Did someone ( like Coolmore? ) buy his breeding rights with the intention to retire him at the end of the year? If there was never a plan to race him as a four-year-old, that might explain the effort to get him a G1 win this year, but... Yeah...time to spell the colt and let him heal completely . :...

Again? The longer the meeting is the more it'll get diluted and become less of an event. It's been the same number of days for 20 years. What are you talking about? I thought it was increased. I would actually swear it, but that doesn't make me right. I felt like they were dark two days when I was ...

It has become harder to see Arlington's great turf races in the last few years. I can remember Chicago's WGN carrying many of the top races, but the channel has stopped doing that. TVG still doesn't show Arlington, but I did find a one-hour slot on NBCSN carrying Arlington ( the Million and maybe t...

Re: Whitney (G1)

He is a good horse, no doubt. If Tu Brutus was let to run free instead of being rated, he might have put some pressure on Gun Runner, but he was rated, for some reason. Gun Runner had only cheap speed ahead of him. Keen Ice is a fine pace-dependent horse, but the rest of the runners were not Grade ...

Re: Whitney (G1)

If Arrogate was in the Woodward, he wouldn't be a lock to win. Arrogate has regressed ever since he peaked in the Travers. Gun Runner has improved as a 4YO while Arrogate hasn't. My money is on Accelerate to win the Pacific Classic and BC Classic. In the PC, Arrogate will probably still be 3-5 and ...

"There is nothing wrong. He's just not been himself and we are just kind of being really patient with him," Casse said from Saratoga. It's amazing, he really is a phony. When things aren't COMPLETELY his way, he packs up his toys and goes home. He clearly has talent but can't seem to step forward when it counts.

He also needs a new rider.

I think in conjunction with her less than thrilling last race, where she also visablly looked meh with a meh figure that it's reasonable to question her going forward when you have other division giants. Stop trying to objectively analyze races based on how they are run and who competed in them. In...

Glad Rick Porter was there to see the win and that his health has improved.

Meanwhile, she's one of the most overrated horses of all time. That was a woeful performance against an absolutely horrific field.

Now I think it's Gary Seibel. I wish it were Gary. Peter Lurie is on now. Not that I have anything against Peter, but Gary's knowledge of harness racing, which makes up a fair portion of TVG's late afternoon programming, can't be matched. You've outdone yourself in this thread. Tremendous work!

Caught a glimpse of the guy who is replacing The Mig on the Belmont Park Live show, Anthony Stabile, and let's just say that he doesn't look like a man who ever made weight as a jockey. Looks and sounds like an extra from The Sopranos . :? He is not replacing him, he was just on for today. Why it w...

What was that from the Coolmore colts? Did they come for the July 4th BBQs, because it didnt seem like they came with an expectation of challenging for anything. IIRC, Homesman ran fast near the front and faded. Was he supposed to act as a pacemaker for WCOD? They didn't really need a pacemaker in ...

Re: G1 $500,000 Stephen Foster

Kudos to the winner who seems to be improving with every start and may well give Arrogate a good race in the BC, but cannot understand the ride on Bird Song- taking back when you know he runs best on the lead. The race was over as soon as GR got an easy uncontested lead. Not saying by any means tha...
