Someone posted on the Derby Dozen site that Steve Haskin said in the March 10 column that Dennis’ Moment had a “ legitimate excuse” in the FOY but that he was not at liberty to provide details to “ maintain confidentiality.” I went back but could not find this posting. Anyone else hear this? Thanks

I wonder when we will hear anything from Dr Bramlage. I assume Max is at Rood and Riddle by now. I have a feeling he will find some bone bruising or wear and tear and he will be retired before Bob ever gets him.

Good question. Blackberry Wine running in a maiden race this weekend for just that reason.
Will be very interesting to see how Bob trains Max. JS always trained him very slowly and carefully, as if he was very fragile. Bob likes to train hard and fast. I do hope he has a vet go over him first. Hoping things work out for poor Maxie. Looked tired laying down in his stall after the race.

I think Dr Bramlage should hold a special lameness training clinic for the veterinarians for the Breeders Cup. It is a skill that he has perfected and needs to teach to the next generation of vets.
