Japan's 2018 Dirt Champion Le Vent Se Lave (JPN) (Symboli Kris S) is still aiming to make his comeback from a tendon injury. Today his connections mentioned the Kashiwa Kinen (Jpn1, May 5th) as his target. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/EPKPHP4U8AAwFCF?format=jpg&name=medium Tachyon, any recent update...

Re: 2020 Three-Year-Olds

Someone posted on the Derby Dozen site that Steve Haskin said in the March 10 column that Dennis’ Moment had a “ legitimate excuse” in the FOY but that he was not at liberty to provide details to “ maintain confidentiality.” I went back but could not find this posting. Anyone else hear this? Thanks

Re: FBI raid at Calder

I'm wondering if he will find any signs of damage to toxin-filtering organs like kidneys or liver, or if his blood will show some sorts of imbalances of enzymes or proteins? Will his heart or circulatory system have been affected by the drugs? It's stuff like that which may have doomed X Y Jet, eve...

Re: FBI raid at Calder

I wonder when we will hear anything from Dr Bramlage. I assume Max is at Rood and Riddle by now. I have a feeling he will find some bone bruising or wear and tear and he will be retired before Bob ever gets him.

Dumb hypothetical question....
If a horse gets disqualified from X number of races for drugs, can they run again in the first level allowance race or even a Maiden race if they suddenly become eligible?
Good question. Blackberry Wine running in a maiden race this weekend for just that reason.

Max to get break at Kentucky Farm before moving to Bob .. not sure where
Old Friends or the Kentucky Horse Park would be perfect

Re: FBI raid at Calder

Will be very interesting to see how Bob trains Max. JS always trained him very slowly and carefully, as if he was very fragile. Bob likes to train hard and fast. I do hope he has a vet go over him first. Hoping things work out for poor Maxie. Looked tired laying down in his stall after the race.

Re: Breeders Cup to step up safety reforms and purses for 3 races

I think Dr Bramlage should hold a special lameness training clinic for the veterinarians for the Breeders Cup. It is a skill that he has perfected and needs to teach to the next generation of vets.
