The one and only Sunday Silence!

$315.55 later and no schedule confirming my boyfriend definitely has off (my sister doesn't know she's plan B) and we are Belmont bound... which definitely means that Justify will not win tomorrow. Somehow.

I read comments from multiple posters stating that Justify looked "exhausted" in the stretch and that this might be a reason for one of the Derby placers or also-rans to turn the tables... however...

If Justify was truly exhausted and still no one could reel him in, what does that say about those who finished behind him?

If he wants to do that he'll have to break the heretofore unbreakable "pgf has a wedding on Belmont day so a TC will be on the line" record.
ETA: ditto on Sunday Silence.

Just checking up on our new favorite horse...

Lucky #7 again and only 7 opponents. I'm still not betting on it knowing Justify will go off at 2/5 and he's recovering from a bruised heel. I knew after he won the Santa Anita Derby and if he won the Kentucky Derby, he could be an awful bet for the rest of his career and it looks that way.

If Justify wins and he should still win this (although I did say that about Nyquist & Always Dreaming as well), let's go watch him try to make history in three weeks. If he loses because this is his 5th start in a span of three months, hopefully he rests up and it opens up a potential 4YO campaign.

Rooting for him hard tomorrow. Will take a break from work about 3pm and catch it on TV. I just find the Preakness such a bad, bad bet for favorites nowadays no matter how good the horse is. Feels like a trap race. Recovering from a bruised heel, 2/5, and a rush job of five starts in 91 days? Nah. Just watch.
Rock Hard Ten. Zenyatta. Cigar. Ghostzapper. Lava Man. Justify. California Chrome. Seattle Slew. Secretariat. Affirmed.

What's it mean if there's no picture of the winner from the year you were born?
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.
