Are there claiming races in Japan?
thanks.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Oh wow YAY for Mozu Ascot!!! They were trying so hard to get him in, didn't he just run a week ago trying to get enough earnings to qualify?? And a great win over an impressive field!!

@Stark - I've never seen any claiming-type races in the results I've seen (but those were all for the major tracks) or mentioned in the Japan-racing twitter accounts I follow. Hopefully tachyon or uma will tell us for sure! 8-)

ETA after seeing the replay - what a ride by Christophe Lemaire! It looked like they'd be stuck several times and somehow he threaded the needle.

''Uma Musume'' now gets a lot of supports even from core racing fans as the anime is mostly based on historical events and trivias.
