Sad news that we will have to scratch G3W RYMSKA today as the favorite from the G1 American Oaks. Was undefeated in 2017 and trained super for the race but was lame in her stall this AM. Hope to get her back to S. Florida and do more diagnostics. Ideal plan is to run her in 2018.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Daddys Lil Darling wins, holding off a fast-closing Madam Dancealot. Kathy's Song was third, New Money Honey fourth.

Glad DLD got it; she's been knocking on the door for some time for that first grade I.

Another G1 stakes winner for the late Scat Daddy.
I'm pleased to see that she clearly liked the ten furlongs; so many of SD's best runners have been precocious sprinters. This filly has gotten better as she's grown, and it's great that the connections intend to race her as a four-year-old. :D

Don't forget that back in September she won the Dueling Ground Oaks and set a new course record for the 1-5/16 miles.
