Christophe Clement‏ @clementstable
LUBASH has been retired, as he's not showing the same interest in training. He retires sound as a 10yo & we are SO very proud of his career!

He's a handsome fellow, lolling tongue and all.
Since he's sound, I wonder if he will transition to a new career...maybe as a stable pony for Clement?

He's not a gelding, so he might go to stud somewhere.

:o
My mistake...but how often do we see 10-year-old entires?
Hope someone gives this sound son of Freud a chance at stud.

Green Mask suffers career-ending injury during workout
ELMONT, N.Y. - Green Mask, a top contender for the Breeders’ Cup Turf Sprint at Del Mar this fall, suffered a fractured sesamoid in his left foreleg during a workout Sunday morning at Belmont Park. The injury will end his racing career.
Green Mask, a 6-year-old gelding trained by Brad Cox for owner Abdullah Saeed Almaddah, was sent Sunday afternoon by van to the New Bolton Center in Pennsylvania, where surgeons were to operate on him.
“I think he’ll be okay, he’s obviously done as a racehorse,” Cox said by phone from Kentucky. “He was probably our best shot at a Breeders’ Cup victory to this point, but it is what it is. The main thing is to give him a shot at survival. I think it’ll happen, from what the surgeons tell us.”

Bird Song has been retired.

Being a stakes-winning son of the late Unbridled's Song and out of the champion Bird Town, I'm pretty sure he'll find a home in a nice stallion barn.

One year after his WV-bred arch-rival Russell Road had his retirement ceremony at Charles Town, Lucy's Bob Boy was officially sent off on Breeders Classic Night. Now 8 years old, he retires with a record of 50-26-6-1 and just over a million dollars in earnings. Happy trails old fellow!

Mondialiste retired to stand at owner Turnbull's Elwick Stud
The breeding scene in the north of England is to receive a notable shot in the arm with Mondialiste, the dual Grade 1-winning son of Galileo, to take up stallion duties at Geoff Turnbull's Elwick Stud in County Durham.

The seven-year-old, who was bred by the Wertheimer brothers, showed smart form at three, most notably when belying big odds to finish a close third to Havana Gold in the 2013 Prix Jean Prat.

Before his five-year-old campaign got under way he was bought by Turnbull and switched from Freddy Head's yard to the Yorkshire stable of David O'Meara, for whom he immediately began what proved to be a steep upward trajectory when running a close second in the 2015 Lincoln handicap.

Salientito will be remaining in Puerto Rico at the CTA sanctuary for his retirement. He can't be exported because he tested positive for Piroplasmosis.

Is that hoof so bad that they didn't think he could race at four, no matter how much time off he's given? Or maybe Coolmore was contracted to stand him in 2018, and those plans weren't about to change?
I think Coolmore has stood enough two-year-old champs to field a baseball team of juvys. Let's see...Hansen, Lookin at Lucky, Uncle Mo, Shanghai Bobby, American Pharoah, Classic Empire, plus Air Force Blue and Vancouver. Did I forget someone?
They've built their American business on all precocious, all the time. :P

Coolmore bought the stud rights to him awhile ago. If Coolmore buys stud rights, the horse never races at 4.
