Herringswell legends, Under Control and Rafting, enjoying a nice trail ride on this warm summer day at Fair Hill. Under Control is now our awesome stable pony, and Rafting has just recently been retired!

Oh, I like Rafting. Nice to hear he is doing well!

After John Martin claimed her for $12,500 at the beginning of January 2017, this daughter of Broken Vow went on a 10 race win streak rising up the ranks to Multiple Graded Stakes Placed status. I'm one of her many fans!

2017 New Zealand Derby winner GINGERNUTS has been officially retired this morning after a injury suffered in Australia before the start of the G1 Emirates Stakes in November last year. As always Kudos to jockey Michael Dee who immediately pulled him up and waved down the vets. Though his injury has healed well it was decided it was too much of a risk to race again.
Gingernuts had a cult following in New Zealand, Australia and around the world mainly thanks to his 35 owners (many first time owners) wearing their orange GNutz hats when he raced

Here is Gingernuts winning the 2017 Avondale Guineas. It wasn't his most prestigious win, as he won the New Zealand Derby at his next start, but it was his most impressive!

SHARP AZTECA RETIRES FROM RACING
After nine months of his last appearance, Sharp Azteca will be retired from racing. Ownership has decided to move to the next chapter with this magnificent horse. For now, Sharp Azteca will remain at Gelfenstein Farm in Ocala. No decision has been made where he’ll begin his new career as a stallion.

With all the recent discussions of who is headed to the BC Dirt Mile, I had wondered where this horse was. Sorry we won't get to see him race again, but I hope this very fast horse is supported as a stallion. Like the Freud/Storm Cat on top and Saint Liam on the bottom.

I've been waiting for this plus Cloud Computing and Tapwrit. Tapwrit was already announced as going to Gainesway when he was done racing. I would imagine it will be in 2019.

We have a winner! Just goes to show he was a tough son of a gun. Or sound. Probably both.
