When I didn't see anything about him being entered in the BC Marathon or even working out, I thought this might be coming.
I really hope a nice farm gives this high-quality, sound racehorse a chance at stud.

Kharafa, the third member of the excellent NY-bred turf triumvirate along with King Kreesa and Lubash, has been retired. He left Belmont this morning en route to Kentucky where, after Nov. 4, he will take up residence at Old Friends where King Kreesa & Lubash are already located.

A site on FB is reporting that Hoppertunity has been retired. Long life and happiness, Hoppy!
He isn't officially retired yet and is still in training. However they are trying to find a stud deal for him. I guess if one can't be found he will remain racing.

While Any Given Saturday may not be a hot sire, Hop has very nice female family.

Northview's general manager David Wade said: "I went to Santa Anita to inspect him for purchase and I thought they had brought me the wrong one. How could a horse that's run 34 times, 31 of them stakes races, have legs this clean and joints this tight?"
“We are going to miss him,” said Baffert. “He was the barn favorite. Everyone loves Hopper.”

Fine race record, earned $4,712,625 (so far ;) ), retires sound after five seasons, apparently a good mind and nice temperament...and he is really good looking.
If I had broodmares, I'd be lining up for him. I hope his offspring excel...and he earns a stall at some super-fancy Kentucky stud farm in a few years.

If anyone was wondering 'whatever happened to Destin?,' he has been retired.
Destin Retired To Stand At Sequel New York In 2019
Destin, a Grade 2 winner and classic-placed runner, has been retired from racing and will enter stud at Sequel New York in Hudson, N.Y. for the 2019 breeding season.
The horse will stand in partnership between Gainesway, Eclipse Thoroughbred Partners, Twin Creeks Racing Stables, and Sequel New York.
A full brother to Grade 1 stakes-winning sire Creative Cause, Destin set a new track record in the G2 Tampa Bay Derby winning by a length going 1:42 4/5 in the 1 1/16 mile Kentucky Derby prep race, defeating Outwork and Brody's Cause. Three months later he was defeated a nose by Creator in the classic Belmont Stakes. Destin retires with five wins, two seconds and two thirds in 15 starts with earnings of $947,800.

According to DRF, Abel Tasman and Vale Dori have been retired.

Vale Dori is set to go to Hill 'N Dale Farm and will visit Justify, while Abel Tasman is headed to Clearsky Farms with no breeding plans decided.

Well done, ladies.

I'm not surprised Abel Tasman retired that was sort of a given after her last performance..she seemed to have made it clear she's done

I've been watching him slide down the ladder so I'm glad it worked out for him.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Grade I Winner, Fan Fvaorite Talismanic Retired
"Talismanic was a wonderful horse to train—he showed a great attitude at home and at the races, he was extremely sound, and he performed at a high level at 3, 4 and 5," Fabre said. "His win in the Breeders' Cup Turf epitomized what we are looking for in the modern racehorse—soundness of body, soundness of mind, and an adaptability to different tracks and conditions at the highest level."

Given that he ran the fastest two-turn dirt mile in history winning the LGA Mile a couple of years ago, I thought he’d make a nice stallion in WA. This works too, though. I was on track at DMR, Monday and there was an urgent call for Jonathon Wong to report to the receiving barn at about the time Point Piper would have been finishing cooling out. I wondered if the claim was going to be voided.
