Stormin Fever Euthanized at 23
Graded stakes winner and champion-producing sire Stormin Fever was euthanized due to the infirmities of old age June 22.

The 23-year-old son of Storm Cat—Pennant Fever, by Seattle Slew, was pensioned following the 2016 breeding season and has been under the care of a former employee of the Mabee family's Golden Eagle Farm, where he stood from 2008-14. Stormin Fever stood for two seasons at Rancho Temescal, north of Los Angeles, and then was returned to Ramona, Calif., when he was pensioned.

Hope I misread but Ramon Dominguez is reporting that Better Talk Now has passed on. Sounds like the issues with his colic were too much.

Absolutely beautiful remembrance of Better Talk Now by Maggie Kimmitt. Deepest condolences to everyone at Fair Hill, but also an enormous thank you to Graham Motion and his family and staff for giving Blackie not only the best of training, but also the kind of retirement we wish for all horses, everywhere.

Sad news out of Ballydoyle, as G2 winner Somehow has been euthanized, plus star filly Minding is still not ready to return to training.
Somehow, winner of the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes at Newmarket in May and also successful at Group 2 and Listed level, has been put down after suffering an inoperable fracture of a hind tibia while working on the Ballydoyle gallops.
On what proved her final start, the daughter of Fastnet Rock and Alexandrova finished second to Decorated Knight in the Group 1 Tattersalls Gold Cup at the Curragh in May.

Sad to learn of the passing of Tinners Way at @Oldfriendsfarm. Links to two all-time greats: son of Secretariat, trained by Bobby Frankel

Among his many accomplishments, Tinners Way was 2x winner of Pacific Classic, beating Best Pal, Concern, Bertrando. He was 27. RIP

:( RIP, Tinners Way. I have a postcard of him from Old Friends on my refrigerator although we weren't able to see him.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.
