Water Cube owner by Michael Phelps has been turned over to Olympian Phillip Dutton for retraining as an event horse. He has some talent and is a beautiful son of Rockport Harbor. Good luck Water Cube in your new career!

Icabad Crane's FB page has been posting about Water Cube. And that Commanding Curve is doing well in his lessons too.

NBC Sports did a piece on Water Cube.

BTW Anita Motion sent out the message that Icabad won't be trying to attain the higher levels of eventing, due to his age and not being in his best interest to push him knowing he'd try too hard to overachieve. The hope is that Olivia Dutton, Phillip and Evie's daughter will compete with him at the lower levels. The Motions will maintain ownership and he has a home with them for life.

After some success at novice level last fall, Water Cube made his 2017 eventing debut at training level and placed second in a large and competitive field...a very promising start in 2017 in his new career with Phillip Dutton's top notch team!

That's good news. Thanks for sharing!
Years passed but I know that Vuelta takes place in few days. It's always divided into few big events. I like the last one which brings the overall results.

Cube was sold to Whitney Shapiro of Capstone Training in Snohomish, WA and is now competing every so often in training level events there.
