Seen it in the morning. Went to work and came back and checked on here and I was taken aback of what I perceived to be apathy.

I saw the news on Paulick, but since I was gone all day, I didn't post.

And to be quite honest...barn fires horrify me, and to think that 40 horses were lost that way...? I couldn't even read the article. I knew that it would turn my stomach.
Yeah, I'm a wimp, but fire really is a nightmare for me.

It was 43 horses, owned by 5 separate entities. A really sad day for horseracing in Ontario.

So sad.
The thing that bothers me is that because they are not thoroubreds no one on this forum cares.
If it was ONE thoroughbred he / she will have their own thread on the Racing forum.

Thanks for posting .

The fire was news across Canada. I've a "friend in dogs" who has a nice little SB mare (More Than Many) who's done some recent winning and held my breath a little checking her Facebook page. Thankfully she wasn't stabled there.

Some times such events have a thread in the racing folder, and not in "Whatever Happened To"

It was here first.
The other one was posted 3 hours or so later.

Perhaps more people may have noticed if it was in the current (2016) In Memoriam thread? I admit I only clicked today b/c I was wondering why this one was still active.

I didn't even notice it was the 2015 thread. I thought the news was wider known, and when I didn't see it on the main Racing forum, thought it might not be TB related enough, so posted it here. My bad. :(

Not at all, you were right to post it - it's a terrible thing to have happened to those poor horses and the people who loved them.
