Five Palms - Baffert trained

Five Palms - Baffert trained

Postby Izvestia » Sun Dec 28, 2014 9:13 am

Five Palms (c. 10 Unbridleds Song-Ema Bovary) last raced and won an allowance Dec 26/13.
I haven't seen any works for the horse. Just wondering if Baffert got rid of him, or what?

Was just about to post this for you! He definitely has talent and mom could fly.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

Yeah! I saw that. Nice return.
Anyone know what kept him out for over a year?

He's an Unbridled's Song, so...I'm guessing something not fabulous south of his knees? :P ;)

Five Palms is scheduled to run in a stakes on May 25. According to the article:
“He just wasn’t training well and going through little things,” Baffert said of Five Palms’ layoff after three races late in 2013 as a 3-year-old. “It wasn’t anything that needed surgery, but I didn’t like the way he came out of (races) training. Sometimes they just need a rest.”

Thanks. I really like this horse, it's too bad he's had issues.

Unfortunately, the talking head on TVG just announced that Five Palms is a scratch from the Los Angeles. Guess we're going to have to wait to see him again.
