He had a stress fracture in July and they put him on the shelf for the rest of the year, but haven't heard anything about his recovery.

He's only galloped in late Nov. It's probably too early to aim at something specific.

He can probably hear us talking about him. Those ears.

Those eyes...those ears...that neck. Are we sure he doesn't have any mule deer in his pedigree? :D

Samraat was recovering from a stress fracture of the cannon bone sustained during last year's Belmont. Per Violette (and DRF) he is ready to begin working regularly again.

He was a well-beaten fourth. Dueled for the lead with the eventual winner and ran out of gas.

Samraat had another set back (hairline fracture on the same leg that was affected last time), and will miss the remainder of this year. They may try to bring him back next year since "He hasn't done enough to really be a stallion".

I think he could easily stand as a popular stallion in New York

Merely a fan, but I tend to agree with you. Even if he were merely to reproduce himself, there's a ton of people in horseracing who would adore having a horse with 800k+ earnings.

Too bad he couldn't stay sound.

He's probably going to be one of the only stallion prospects from Noble Causeway too, since he died last year.
