And that was before he hit the grand slam!

Buckle up, this is going to be a fun ride.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

That was on a up and in 95 mph fastball.

Kid is going to be seeing a lot of curve balls now. I don't think he has a weak zone but we'll see.

Baseball Hall of Fame honors 'Homer at the Bat' episode of 'The Simpsons'

Steve Sax won two World Series rings, was a five-time All-Star and got nearly 2,000 hits in the big leagues.

Yet to many fans, it's those half-dozen lines he uttered to a bunch of yellow cartoon characters a long time ago that really made him famous.

Harper, Strickland traded punches, Nationals beat Giants 3-0

Drilled in the hip by a heater, Bryce Harper knew where this was headed. In a hurry, too.

"You see red," he said.

Enraged, the Washington slugger charged the mound, wildly fired his helmet and traded punches to the head with reliever Hunter Strickland, setting off a furious brawl Monday during the Nationals' 3-0 win over the San Francisco Giants.

Reeling Cards make series of personnel moves

St. Louis Cardinals general manager John Mozeliak announced a series of coaching changes and player reassignments Friday.

Veteran third baseman Jhonny Peralta has been designated for assignment, and third-base coach Chris Maloney has been reassigned within the organization. Mike Schildt will take over for Maloney.

Some days its fun to be a Dodgers fan.

If these two kids, Bellinger and Seager can stick together for 10+ years they could be the most exciting pairing in baseball history.

Pirates' Jameson Taillon pitches five scoreless innings in return from cancer treatments

Jameson Taillon pitched five scoreless innings in his return from treatments for testicular cancer and the Pittsburgh Pirates beat the Colorado Rockies 7-2 on Monday night.

Taillon (3-1) allowed five hits, walked two and struck out five. The 25-year-old had surgery May 8, four days after losing to the Reds at Cincinnati, then made three rehab starts in the minor leagues.

I didn't think the Dodger's could find another player as good as Seager but they did it. 24 HR's and 55 RBI's in 57 games now for Bellinger. And folks, he is the goods. His swing covers the plate like Ted Williams. You cannot make a mistake to him. I've been very impressed with his play at first. He turned a single to a double with hustle out of the box in game 3 in the Mets series. Yes, Bellinger and Seager are staying in Blue. Those 2 aren't going anywhere else ever.

It would also be grand if Puig has finally matured. Remember him?

The Rockies are punch drunk and will need help finding LAX. Hope they will be ok. Very concerned for their well being. So sorry Colorado. My future home.

Ex-Yankee Robinson Cano provides closing act at Aaron Judge's All-Star party

For much of this week's All-Star schedule in Miami, the focus was on young players, trendy players, and a running debate over which player will ultimately emerge and lay claim to the designation of "Face of the Game." Commissioner Rob Manfred didn't quite bestow New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge with that distinction when asked for his opinion Tuesday. But he had to admit, the kid has lots of potential.
