Life is rather amazing at times....

The city of San Francisco this week began allowing non-citizens, including illegal immigrants, to register to vote in the November election for the city school board.

“This is no-brainer legislation,” Hillary Ronen, of the city’s Board of Supervisors, told the publication. “Why would we not want our parents invested in the education of their children?”
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

If this election is specifically limited to school board members, and the voting pool expanded ONLY for this election, it isn't really crazy.
If the children of illegal immigrants are attending public school, their parents should care about their education.

I have a dumb question... seems dumb to me anyway.
I get why I am no longer allowed to drive...I have seizures and have twice had one behind the wheel. I quit voluntarily.
This leaves me with a city bus that seems to take days to do what should be 10 minutes. Last week I could at least get dropped off in front of the Dr's office. Now the route changed. Now I have a 45 minute walk to get to my GP's office. The specialist? At least a half hour trudge.
This could almost make sense. I get exercise. Excuse me...in summer, in Tampa, no such thing as summer. It is too busy being rainy season. I could drown on a good day. Bad day and I am having an argument with a hammerhead with bad breath. All of it at 90 degrees or higher.
Geez Louise.
This as I am sitting on a bus bench no bus goes by anymore. Thunderheads are 2 miles high. It"s getting dark at noon already!

World's Finest Chocolate fund raiser bars.
I guess it's nice that they're still just a dollar, but geesh, if they get any smaller they'll be a good stirrer stick in a cup of coffee.

In the bed again..... accompanied by a large group of nurses, phlebotomists, dr wannabes and the real thing.
Oh, the joys of 4 AM bloodwork.
If it isn't bloodletting, it's blood pressure.🤒

I hope the fact that they let you 'escape' means you're feeling better.
Maybe you could train one of The Little Darlings to carry your multiple meds in little doggy saddlebags on their harness? ;)

I'd have more luck hitch hiking with a dolphin pod.

Ok. The winter pool tournament season is starting. I spent yesterday in Winter Park, not playing... had a call that I was a required spectator so that I could catch up on the messages I seem to be the only means of delivering to the players that didn't get there.
Last night was interesting. Michael filled up motels as far as the eye can see. This is Magic Kingdom territory. Lots of motels.
Finally found a room out on S R 54. Shouldn't have.
I am proud to announce that I personally accounted for reducing the future existence of at least 12 billion roaches by personally swatting all that I saw. Then I went to the office and yelled until I got a jug of roach spray and sprayed every corner.
No wonder I found a room there.

Oh yuck. That's horrible.
I hope the roaches weren't accompanied by their distant cousins, the bedbugs, in the linens on that bed.
I think I'd have slept on the floor...just in case.

Oh, don't worry, I stripped the bed and shook out everything. My overnight bag slept in the trunk.
This is Florida. Roaches range from pinhead size to 3" Palmetto bugs. They don't show those pics in ads about moving to the Sunshine State.

My grandparents retired to Florida, and eventually my mother moved down there to tend to my grandmother. I've visited Florida a number of times, and got very familiar with its immense bug population. So...not my favorite state.
And my sister and I wasted no time getting our mom to move to SoCal after my grandmother passed. :P
