Newsroom finale is easily the weakest episode of the season, possibly of the series. They set up some good drama in the first half last week that they didn't deliver on. I felt absolutely no stakes for an entire hour, and called more than a couple of "twists".

That said.

I've never been so pleased with an episode of TV I was disappointed in. I mean. EEEEEeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.
Not a wholesome trottin' race, no, but a race where they sit down right on the horse!
Like to see some stuck-up jockey boy sittin' on Dan Patch? Make your blood boil? Well, I should say!

Agreed, Coulson is a wonderful character, but I wish that some of the supporting actors had more character. There are far too many pretty youngsters...would like to see some older actors with craggy faces that show some life experience.

i'm hoping they pull in maria more, she and coulson together makes for great screen time. i saw a bus ad in one scene for stark industries, maybe some guest starring by thor, tony, bruce, clint..? they referenced natasha. i'd like them to give deadpool a nice little story but i'm not gonna hold my breath on that one (boo).

The Broadchurch finale is tonight. I'm among the dorky few awaiting the reveal of Danny's killer.

So I am eagerly awaiting Revolution, The Blacklist, Scandal, Nashville (soapy and I love it!), and the Amazing Race! I keep hearing wonderful things about Downton Abbey and 24, so I really need to do something about that.

So was S.H.I.E.L.D good for non-comic book fans? How did Sleepy Hollow turn out?

TV time again!

I marked Monday on my calendar for the Castle premiere. Love, love, love it! And, only slightly weird watching it since I met Nathan last month lol!

Tonight is all about Criminal Minds! Sorry to not see Strauss this year as she had grown on me, but we still have Hotch and Reid. (If ABC is reading this, please bring back Prentiss.)

Also, waiting for Amazing Race, Grimm, Supernatural, Haven, and the Big Bang. I'm behind in Supernatural and Haven though so we will see - are they on Netflix?

SHEILD was great! I'm not a diehard comic book fan, but still easy to follow and I caught some references just from watching the recent movies. Agree with someone else who said it was a young cast...good to see Coulson and liked the wittiness they kept in the show.

What and when is Rein?

I thought Blacklist was terrific. I don't know if they can keep that pace up, but it was non stop action for an hour. The characters and the pace remind me a lot of 24.

S.H.I.E.L.D. ... Not sure what I think just yet. I have high expectations and Joss Whedon is brilliant so I'm hoping it does well. Personally, I would like to see more heroes in it but the first episode was well done. Certainly they are pumping money into it and if the writing is there then it can be a success. I liked it but didn't love it.

Sleepy Hollow: I like it a lot. Reminds me of Supernatural in it's beginning. Hopefully it won't be too similar because IMO that would be overkill. But it has promise.

Today I'm so looking forward to Criminal Minds and CSI.

Last night Chicago Fire ROCKED!!! Literal hot guys on TV. Can't ask for more....

Me, too. Got the DVR set to record it, but might have to watch it live.

I sit here and patiently wait for the second season of Bate Motel to begin. I may have to watch Breaking Bad from the beginning to tide me over, everyone tells me it's crazy good.

As a aside, I have been going back and watching old episodes of Dark Shadows in order since they are available on the internet. Lots of fun there.

I do watch the following on a regular basis

Chopped
Pawn Stars
Counting Cars
Big Bang Theory
Ink Master
American Pickers
Storage Wars- Texas- Ricky and Bubba crack me up!
Airplane Repo- it's insane what they have to go thru to grab a plane.
Restaurant Stakeout

I'm sure there are more, but that's what comes to me right away.

Have to sit around until 2014.
Ain't nobody got time for that.

I'm giving a chance to these pilots this season. Can you tell that I have no social life? :D

Sept 16: Sleepy Hollow, Fox (loved it!)
Sept 24: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., ABC (definitely a keeper)
Oct 3: The Originals, CW (spinoff of my guilty pleasure, Vampire Diaries)
Oct 6: Witches of East End, Lifetime (based on the novel and partially filmed in NC--woohoo)
Oct 9: The Tomorrow People, CW (about the fourth reincarnation of this show about humans evolving into something like X-Men)
Oct 9: American Horror Story: Coven, FX
Oct 10: Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, ABC (have to give the spinoff a try)
Oct 17: Reign, CW (about the young Mary, Queen of Scots)
Oct 25: Dracula, NBC

Praire Bayou - did you like Criminal Minds last night? I was a touch grossed out at one bit, and when Reid figured out what was going on, it seemed like quite a stretch even for him! Other than that, it was fine...have had better and worse. Hotch is starting to look old. :( Rossi could use a haircut and, unfortunately, Blake is still around looking as disheveled as ever. Ha! Oh well, they're back! :)

Tonight - Big Bang. I had started watching Vampire Diaries when it started, but lost a lot of interest once Elena was turned. If anyone watches the Originals, let me know if it's less annoying and maybe I'll tune in lol!

Oh, and I watched the last episode of Arrow from last year and it reminded me of why I had started watching. Think I'll try to catch that this season too. The lead actor was at Fan Expo and was super nice...and CDN..woot, eh? :D

Just heard that Warehouse 13 is going to have an abbreviated last season in 2014. Rats, I liked that one...

Yeah, SyFy probably needs to make room for more wrestling and Sharknado sequels

On the HBO front, next season will be the last for True Blood, too.

I've been a True Blood fan from the beginning, but I'm not surprised that the show is wrapping up. You kind of have a built-in expiration date when you write a story around immortal characters...and then your leads start looking older. Steven Moyer, especially, looks less and less "ageless" all the time. :P
Also, if Alexander Skarsgard were leaving, the show loses a lot of appeal. His character, the charismatic and honorable Viking prince Eric, may have been offed in the last episode. Although, I have read an interview with a True Blood showrunner who guaranteed that Eric is back for this season.
