Army defeats Navy to halt 14-year losing streak in series

The Army football team and its fans around the world can finally rejoice.

No longer will they have to listen to barbs from Navy or lament another missed opportunity in the biggest game of the year.

At long last, The Streak is over.

No. 10 FSU wins wild Orange Bowl over No. 6 Michigan, 33-32

Renegade, the horse that serves as Florida State's mascot, took an uncharacteristic tumble while prancing on the field before kickoff.

The horse got up and was just fine.

Hours later, Florida State collapsed -- and like Renegade, recovered with a flourish.

From written off to Rose Bowl, USC and Penn State followed similar paths

September couldn't end soon enough for USC, and by now, the Trojans' miserable 1-3 opening month is well-documented. When the calendar turned to October, the idea that the season would end with a trip to the Rose Bowl Game presented by Northwestern Mutual was inconceivable.

Alabama can't complete perfect season

Oh, those walk-on wide receivers.

Clemson had one catching and one coaching on Monday night, and turned it into a national championship - with one second to spare.

Clemson Tigers pull out upset in National Championship, beating Alabama Crimson Tide 35-31

Thriller. Revenge. Love. Those three words often describe the premise to a blockbuster movie. Instead, it describes the best game of the 2016-17 NCAA football season; a 35-31 Clemson Tiger victory over the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Do you remember 2005 Texas and Vince Young against USC? 41-38

The only thing this year was some of the penalties especially the last pass interference call. I thought
he fell more than he got pulled and the penalty didn't happen in the end zone. I'm not a believer in
having the ref's decide the game.

In Big Ten, there's Ohio State and Michigan, and then there's everybody else

National signing day approaches with Ohio State and Michigan leading the Big Ten charge. The two rivals are both on track to finish in the top five of ESPN’s recruiting rankings, something no Big Ten tandem has done in the same year since the rankings began in 2006.
