Brian Kelly takes blame for Notre Dame's 4-8 season

Brian Kelly isn't making any excuses for the Notre Dame Fighting Irish's performance this season, saying all the blame falls on his shoulders.

"There are no bad football teams," Kelly told reporters Monday. "There's just poorly led football teams. I led this team poorly."

Notre Dame coach Ara Parseghian's legend won't soon be forgotten

Few coaches have been a better fit at Notre Dame than Ara Parseghian. This was no mere fit; this was a bespoke suit, although only as a figure of speech. The Parseghian who came to South Bend in December 1963 never stood still long enough for a tailor to measure him.

After Irma, Miami returns to practice, in Orlando

Miami began practice Sunday surrounded by palm trees and sunny, warm weather, but the football program was 235 miles away from home.

While its Coral Gables campus remains closed and many parts of South Florida deal with continued power loss and cleanup after Hurricane Irma, the football team began to take the slow steps toward normalcy by returning to practice at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex.
