I saw that race, and he really showed some grit in getting past the second-place horse. IMO, the big grey could have a nice future.

Freshman sire Coil got his first winner from his first starter at Golden Gate Fields May 1 when his daughter Recoiling won a 4 1/2-furlong maiden special weight in near gate-to-wire fashion by 1 3/4 lengths.

I saw the race and she looked really good. As a huge fan of the huge Point Given, I'm excited to see how his son Coil does at stud.
