Broodmares ... How does it work?

I think you're better off just taking $20,000 and burning it in a barrel in your backyard.

Seriously.

And, if you DO breed and get a foal, can we jump down your throat when it ends up in a feed lot?

Why are these types of attacks allowed?

Honestly, if I ever acted like that I would be deplored with myself.

Perhaps you know of someone who has a brood mare and would be interested in using this free breeding and the owner of the stud would also be interested.

Maybe the owner of the brood mare would give your a % interest in the foal for leading them to a free breeding.

Just a thought.

Man lives by hope, not by giving up.

That said, I do rather like Ballerina's suggestion. It's a nice middle ground.

Now there's a wonderful and productive thought!

Excellent suggestion.

In all honesty, my original thought was what Bal has suggested. I just wasn't sure how realistic of a thought that was.

So I figured I may as well try to see all angles on this subject to try to figure what my options are and if it's even feasible at this point or sometime in the not too distant future.

Don't want to influence the flow of thoughts here, as being a total newbie to this, I feel it's best for me to know any options possible so as to have a better grasp on the topic.

Once again, thanks for the insight ... I truly appreciate it.

And if anyone knows of the logistics of the Bal suggestion and if it actually does happen with broodmare owners, I'd love to hear it. Thanks! :)
