If some stallions are too valuable to risk shipping to the other side of the planet, Tapit probably qualifies. :P
Also doubt that Galileo will ever leave Ireland.

Not at his current age.....but he did early on. He did 5 or 6 seasons shuttling to Australia but was a flop compared to his northern hemisphere results. As valuable as he has become in the last 15 years, I'm sure had he had similar success in Australia he'd still be flying....or would have been until recently...

First mare in foal for Jess’s Dream
Ocala Stud announced that its first-year stallion Jess’s Dream had the first mare he covered in his debut breeding season confirmed as being in foal.

The first mare covered by Jess’s Dream was the Harlan’s Holiday mare Holiday Flare, a half-sister to stakes winners Candrea and Dream of Angels. Owned by Ocala Stud, Holiday Flare was pronounced in foal with a heartbeat at 28 days on Monday.

Jess’s Dream is by champion Curlin out of champion Rachel Alexandra, making him the only horse at stud whose sire and dam were both Horses of the Year. A Stonestreet homebred named after the late Jess Jackson, the 5-year-old bay was won his debut at Saratoga in last-to-first fashion.

Jess’s Dream is standing his first season at J. Michael O’Farrell Jr.’s Ocala Stud in Florida for a fee of $5,000 stands and nurses.

Thanks for the A.P. Indy pics, Sparrow Castle! He looks happy and content - and spoiled rotten - as it should be. I'll bet he's happy to see those signs of spring in the Blue Grass too.

Happy 28th A.P. !

He will be the first son of Kitten's Joy to stand down under. I wonder how he will be received by breeders.

Thanks so very much for those pictures of A. P. Indy on his 28th birthday. Happy Birthday Indy, you beautiful and beloved boy. Words can't express how happy I am that he's been able to live a long, happy life.

His sire, Seattle Slew, lived to be 28. I hope his greatest son lives longer.

Indy's maternal grandsire, Secretariat, died too young in October 1989 just six months after Indy's birth.

I was privileged to see Slew, Secretariat and Indy run, and am so grateful that their legacy lives on through Indy's sons and daughters.

Life is a continuum.

Super Saver is shuttling to Argentina. How long before Super Saver stays down there? He's kind of gotten quiet.

I agree that after 2015 he cooled down a lot, but I remember reading last year he was sent a pretty decent number of nice mares in 2016 - even if the almost doubling of his fee was ridiculous. I'd give it a couple more years before he gets bounced, his best crop could still be yet to come, and he is still standing for $50,000 - which is still too much in my opinion.
