Very happy for Mr. Wöhler that after all he got his G1 today at Longchamp, even if it wasn't with Novellist but Altano. Very cool horse!! Maybe this is a little compensation for missing the Arc on such short notice.

Is there an English call floating around? I can't understand French. That was an amazing race by Treve though. WOW.

Both were great efforts. But MC's turn of foot is astounding.

Really felt for Orfevre's connections.

It seemed Treve was stalking Orfevre even before the start of the race as they were circling around beforehand.

What a filly. Great acceleration...Hope she'll be back next year.

Al Kazeem did well too - finishing sixth I think.

And Moonlight Cloud was impressive too. Wonder if Mr. Strawbridge will try Wise Dan again? She seems like she is in great form, but I think not since she's not likely to get soft pitch like they had at Longchamp.

I am guessing he is the travelling/head lad then, either way, I don't think I have seen someone who loves a horse so much

Orfevre is the only horse who managed to finish in the money carrying 59.5 kilograms (about 131 lbs) over the past three years. Treve is truly a super filly and no one could beat her this year. But it may also be getting too difficult for older males to perform well in this event. Dylan Thomas is the only 59.5 kg winner over the past decade.
