Maybe old news, but somebody just posted a Trevor love rant on the "Racetrackers" FB page, on a post noting opening day for the fall meeting. Name given as Matthew Cheng. Still crazy after all these years.
I ran marathons. I saw the Taj Mahal by Moonlight. I drove Highway 1 in a convertible. I petted Zenyatta.

He absolutely still is.
I had to boot him from the FB group for his repeated violations.

His bizarre behaviour became enough at one point I emailed the police department by Santa Anita and told them the guy who'd threatened Larry in the past was still making bizarre posts. He was also private messaging them to me....

As long as he's not threatening Wrona, Dinerman, Colmus, etc. I would consider that improvement. Baby steps. He contacts me periodically through FB wanting to friend me. I've heard it said that one can never have too many friends. This would be the exception that proves the rule.

Can someone fill me in on this debacle?

You really don't want to know.
It's kind of like rubbernecking to see an accident on the freeway and you wind up getting a good look at the decapitated driver.
Trust me, you're in the plus column by not knowing!

I saw this and thought "Didn't we just go through this, maybe this is an old thread...?" and then I saw the date and, okay. Well then. :?

Is it just like some creepy weirdo with an obsession for Trevor Denman that dogs other racecallers?

I just really hope that someone responsible and professional is keeping a close eye on MC. I don't want to look back at threads like this after an act of violence by him and say, 'Yes, there were signs. Why didn't someone do something about it?''
:(
ETA: I tried doing a Search to see if I could find some of his original threads, but either they were lost during one of our shutdowns, or I'm using the wrong arrangement of words.

Search found 43 matches: mchorseracecall

looks like most of his were indeed deleted.

IIRC, that would be far from the first time someone has posted concerns about his obsessions and disturbing rants.

But maybe the first time the police (the real ones with guns) had to get involved.

Will close this thread now for obvious reasons. I too hope that he gets help somewhere, or someone can help him. In his mind he probably doesn't realize that what he is doing is harmful (for himself and for others and for Trevor himself too).

And if you read this Matthew: talk to people who can help you, I know it's easier said than done, but there is help out there. If you find some distance to the whole thing and let it be in the past, you'll find that you missed out on a lot of other stuff that is interesting too, because you only focused on one thing and will be much happier!
