It means nothing further needs to be said because of mutual understanding of the topic at hand... or so my faulty opinion has erroneously led me to believe.

Anyway Saratoga rocks. Enjoy your days there.

I'm going to try awfully hard. Still not over the disappointment of Justify not coming here. :( :P

I hear you... although I wasn't able to go for Travers Day anyhow this year. I'm glad I got to see Pharoah anyway... might be my only chance to have seen a TC winner.

I am going to get to see Monomoy Girl on Sunday, so that's exciting. When BdO gets to TOGA, I'll wander by Steve's barn and see if I can get some photos of hm. I'll bring a box of donuts and wear my Gun Runner shirt and hat.

Monomoy Girl vs. Midnight Bisou might be one of the best match-ups we'll see at The Spa this summer. 8-)

CCA Oaks:
1 Chocolate Martini
2 Midnight Bisou
3 Eskimo Kisses
4 Monomoy Girl
5 Gio Game
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

very much looking forward to seeing southern phantom run tomorrow - what a striking and very unique looking runner - hope he does well - he will be fun to follow in his racing career - - so glad racing is back at Saratoga today - love the place - it looks just glorious there - the trees.... heavenly - we live closer to del mar but give me Saratoga every time - on the bucket list for sure.

Thanks for the reminder about the FS2 coverage. It doesn't carry the whole card like TVG (today's programming is from 1-3:30 Pacific, 1-4 tomorrow & 1-3:30 again on Sunday), but their broadcast is in high-def.
I wonder if the Saratoga Live coverage will have other cameras available to show the races? TVG just gets the single pan view (from the grandstand, I presume) and, when the field goes into the far turn, you can hardly see anything of the horses. For such a prestigious meet, the camera coverage is paltry.
And there seems to be more stuff constructed within the infield this year, often blocking that pan view.

DRF Formulator
‏@DRFFormulator

R6: Southern Phantom makes his debut, and may take money given his distinctive appearance. However, trainer Eric Guillot is 0 for 14 the past 5 years w/maidens debuting at NYRA tracks.

R2: Todd Pletcher stretches out second-time starter Seanow in this two-turn maiden race. Over the past year, he's got very strong numbers with similar stock bet to odds of 10-1 or lower.

@DRFFormulator

R4: Danny Gargan and Kendrick Carmouche team up with Windjammer in this wide-open turf route. Over the past 90 days, this combination's done very well with turf horses bet to 10-1 or lower. Of 10 such starters, four have won, and nine have hit the board.
I've found it easier to tear up tickets at 8/1 instead of 8/5.

Nitrous (Tapit-Speeinthruthecity-City Zip) looked really sharp breaking his maiden in the 6th today. He went very fast early on and still pulled away at the end.
