ELMONT, N.Y. – When Noble Indy runs in Saturday’s Grade 3, $300,000 Dwyer Stakes at Belmont Park, he will do so as the sole property of Mike Repole, who bought out WinStar Farm as his partner on the Grade 2 Louisiana Derby winner.

Maybe Mike is taking steps to ensure that his colt doesn't end up in Korea?
JK. Sort of. :P ;)

Haha, yep! Nice Baroque.

I’ll be rooting for Rugbyman.

At what might be even money on Mendelssohn when the gates open, personally I don't like any question marks at that kind of price, and while it's easy to be impressed with the Dubai race, it's just as easy for me to draw a line thru it as some sort of aberration.

I'll go with the late developer with upside for Motion, Rugbyman.

Would have gone with Noble Indy if only Castellano was aboard ;)

Firenze Fire is a pretty good value at 6-1. Rooting for Mendelssohn though.

The NYRA commentary is always so intelligent and interesting; I wish the big networks would mimic the format for their national broadcasts.

Brilliant performance.

Took flight at the top of the stretch and kept rolling.

Looks like we've got us a miler specialist.

I was expecting so much more from Noble Indy...

Congratulations to Firenze Fire though! That was one heck of a performance!

I wouldn't be terribly disappointed in Mendelssohn for finishing behind a decent colt who clearly loves Belmont, especially in his first run back since the Derby, but...
...losing out on 2nd to Seven Trumpets (who?) is not good. :?
This race can't being giving the Boys of Ballydoyle much confidence in their plans to take this colt to the BC Classic.

Do you think his Dubai win was a fluke??? Should they put him back on dirt?

Seven Trumpets was second to Firenze Fire in the one mile Jerome, also.

I can make excuses for Mendy, but I do think his UAE Derby may have over dressed him a bit.

Wondering if Mendy should have entered the Belmont Derby instead?

I may be misremembering, but I don't think his grass races have been his best. :?

I did. Only to see my 6-1 horse go to 5/2 odds.

I usually don't put much of my money into U.S. racing anymore......the reasons why would take 10 pages to explain. Most people don't need the explanation though. :D
